Best deal you ever found

A few years ago Dicks had Ping s56 irons discounted down to $199. Was able to pick up a couple sets, flipped one and played the other, don't think that deal could ever be beat.

In college, I got a Tei3 Newport for $25 at play it again sports. It was not in great condition but I restored it after my mom has used it for the past 10 years. I probably won't find a better deal than that.

Bought my set of 2019 P790s 3-PW at a shop brand new (in plastic, in the Taylormade box), to the specs I would have custom ordered, down to the shaft, for $750. I guess some guy custom ordered them and then never showed so they just wanted to unload them given the specs. Either way worked out unbelievable for me.

Bought a Cobra Fly-Z driver 2 years ago off the used rack for $45. Traded it in to the same place a couple weeks later for $70 in trade. Worked out pretty well

I remember buying a couple of Callaway fairway woods at a garage sale 8-10 years ago for $8 each, never hit them before they went for $75 each on ebay.

I found a really dirty set of Maxfli A10 (the combo set) for $135 that cleaned up nice.

I bought my Hogan FTX irons with the 3 & 4 CFT hybrids for $200.  I didn't want the hybrids, so I sold them for $180 for the pair.  I still use that $20 set of irons from time to time!

 

But looking back, I think the best deal I got was my TP Mills Sycamore with GSS insert.  David had made a batch to send to Korea, but I asked for something in that design and he still had one head sitting around so he shafted it up and sent it to me, for much less than a custom would cost.  This is the only other one I've ever seen:

I did pick up a set of M2 iron heads (4-PW) for only $50 as well

Rolled the dice on these on eBay:

"CALLAWAY 2019 APEX PRO (H) IRON SETS 4-PW STEEL STIFF" from CPO for $327.81.

 

Irons I received were Tour Spec (double dots) that were in perfect condition.
