Hemp extract

Anyone tried this before golf? Any recommendations as to brand and any side affects. Thanks

CBD Oil/tincture? I use it pretty much every morning. No "high" effects at all, but keeps me a bit more even keel. Also supposed to help with joints/inflammation so it can't hurt!

I take a CBD gummie on the way to the course, and a second one at the turn.  I also use them for recovery after I walk 18 holes or workout.  I don't think they are magic, but I do think they helpful with mental state and physical recovery.

I use Fully Activated and recommend it to anyone to asks. I use the CBD only during the day and the Full Spectrum at night to help go to sleep since it has other cannabinoids. Has replaced my melatonin supplement I used to take nightly and has definitely helped my back and shoulder not tighten up so much. Check them out, good pricing compared to a lot of companies and I usually get it delivered within a week.

 

Whatever you ultimately end up trying, make sure its lab tested and they can/do provide documentation on the results. So many companies falsely advertise what is actually contained in the bottle and undershoot it pretty drastically.

Who do you buy from? I ordered from Charlottes web plant based cannabinoids hemp extract. Seems like. A very reputable company. Haven’t tried it yet as arrives next week

I get stuff from Urbl Activ and they're pretty good. I get tincture which I use morning/night and I usually carry around a tin or two of mints for on course.

I put on CBD oil based cream on my all my achy joints and muscles after working out and after golf.  Def helps relieve pain for a couple hours.  My wife gets the sugar and kush brand.  OP you should give it go.

I feel much better after going through this ritual. Trust me. It really works.

 

And mush less expensive than hemp extract, CBD thingies, etc.!

I'm willing to try them and see for myself.  I tried some gummies a couple years ago from Amazon and they had no noticeable effect on me.  But I need something stronger or different than alcohol.

CBD oil is a poor substitute for alcohol.  I think you will be disappointed.

Have you ever tried Delta 8 hemp extract? It is definitely not a "placebo" and will give you a buzz.

I have, and it does.  Delta 8 is an interesting thing; very physically "mellowing" like weed, but not nearly as much brain fog; that's the best comparison I can offer.  Really good for getting over soreness and fatigue, but I wouldn't want to try to play golf after using it.  It also takes a LONG time to dissipate.  Actually, I'm a little surprised that it's legal and over the counter in stores.

 

I can sort of understand why people label CBD as "trendy"; I think the various claims about it can be over the top.  But I think it has valid uses for mood and especially for recovery, at least to some extent.  Delta 8, on the other hand, is something entirely different, much more like weed than it is like CBD.

 

For reference purposes, I'm 68 and I lived a FULL life in the 60's and 70's and beyond, so I'm not really talking thru my hat here about the effects of this stuff.  I walk 90% of my rounds and work out HARD on the days I don't play, so soreness and fatigue are an issue always for me.  Anything that helps with that has a place for me, like protein shakes after a round or a workout.  CBD and Delta 8 are no different, and they are pretty expensive, so if I couldn't tell some benefits, they'd get dropped like any other bad habits I have.

If you gent's enjoy smoothies, add some shelled/hulled hemp seeds to your favorite mix. Packed with protein, iron, thiamine, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc and manganese. CBD gummies can help with inflammation and soreness during rounds, add in 1;1 THC/CBD gummies for a stronger hit. Obviously if available through legal or grey markets.

 

I'm in Toronto, so this is all readily available in my region and country.
