The thing that'll make the biggest difference to begin with:

Set-up: your butt is sticking out too far. Setup against a wall with your feet two inches or so away from the wall. Your butt will be just touching. Then work on this... https://www.instagram.com/p/CMFW-xPFdLf/ it'll fix many of your issues: no hip rotation, poor pivot because of that, right knee not straightening, etc.

If you work on this we can take another look at how you take the club away when your pivot is working better.

Also, I'd like to see a face on and check your grip.

Oh, and your instructor sounds terrible. Throw him in the sea.

if there was a clock on the ground and 12 o'clock is the target, you are taking your club to 5 o'clock.  You need to take your club to 7 o'clock.    Try the right foot back drill I posted above.

It also appears your lower body is not turning as it should. At takeaway, you're lifting with your arms and then turning some to slot the club at the top. You should instead be turning your body, THEN lifting the arms.

If your a baseball player (I think you mentioned something to that effect) then think about hitting line drives over the second baseman’s head or in the 3-4 hole.  This is my “feel” for when I need to hit a draw.  Ymmv.  Resist the urge to keep messing with your equipment until you are at the fine tuning phase.

Well....just got back from the range.

I tried everything in my power to use my front left arm as a guide and have my right arm tucked in. I practice swung like 5x before actually hitting the ball and looked at the swing path to exaggerate come 'inside' on the takeback.

It worked! Well, I wasn't piping balls 350 dead straight but a bunch went straight or just had a slight little fade to them. Only probably hit 3-4 that had a whipping slice.

I also made sure not only to exaggerate taking the club back inside, but made sure my backswing was slowed down. I'm not sure what caused it's but I felt a little pause at the top of my backswing almost like it was loading and then came down through the ball hard.

I can't describe it in words well but at the top there was a pause and it almost felt like I dropped my hands in the downswing and came through the ball HARD. I blasted a ton straighter than I probably ever did before. If anything I sent a few of them dead left on a line.

I was going to ask the guy next to me to take a video but I felt weird asking that lol

Take the driver out of the bag and go to the range.. as others have pointed out it's very hard to learn so,thing new with a driver..

I used to have a massive over the top swing.. my coach set me up with a great drill.. I pounded thousands of balls and low and behold I don't come over the top anymore

This is a different version of the drill I did.. same concept though

I found a picture of the drill I was given https://www.pinterest.com/pin/14003448824140807/

The lower the stick goes to the ground the harder the drill is.. I  broke a ton of sticks lol

Go to home depot and pick up driveway markers.. there Orange and 2 bucks

You're on the right track.

I like jomatty's idea of looking to hit the baseball towards the 2nd baseman (path) and I like mb123's idea of hitting the ball at 5 o'clock (also path).

Basically there are a couple of positions for you to get to.

On the backswing with hands roughly at hip high, the butt of your club should be pointing right at the ball (draw an imaginary line from your clubhead down the shaft and then to the ball).

If the club is pointing inside the ball you're too upright (fade biased)  and if it's pointing outside the ball you're too flat (draw biased).

On the downswing do the same thing. Same answers. Butt pointing inside the ball equals too upright, outside the ball too flat.

You will note, if you hit these positions, your right elbow tucks nicely into your right side - NO "flying right elbow".

If you can get to these positions and the ball still slices fades a little, strengthen your grip (rotate both hands clockwise) just a touch. If the ball then goes right BUT stays straight, strengthen the grip just slightly once more. Then enjoy your baby draw.

From there it's just small adjustments to get whatever flight you want.

Bon chance !!!
