Won, it was actually meant to be in hand but USPS wouldn’t deliver without signature and I was out yesterday, so I’ll have useless tickets

Not entirely. Hopefully you will get your money back and have tickets to sell after the tournament on eBay for a few bucks a piece for your trouble!

I was able to spot some tournament round tickets this morning at the lowest price I’ve seen on StubHub by a few hundred. Now I’m nervous it’ll get canceled assuming prices remain at current levels or go up. Lol

I’ve been watching during business hours heavily this week and there has been some definite dips the last few days. If you haven’t booked lodging, Airbnb’s are dropping too if you need a spot to crash if you have to hit the streets. I think you are good.

Thanks! I booked flights and hotels already. The tickets were the last piece of the puzzle.

I’m in the exact same boat… also this AM. Found Thursday $700 cheaper than the next cheapest. Are they LMS or mail?

The listing had shipping but I received an email with pickup details (except location TBD) so I assume LMS.

Today (2 Fridays before the tourney) is when I usually remove by WAIT recommendation for the risk-averse.  I will continue to hold as I'm too cheap to pay current low prices, and if I don't get a good deal...oh well, next year.  Good Luck everyone! 🙂

 

MON - # way down since SUN, $ just slightly higher

TUE - Same as above

WED - Same as above

It's wild that practice rounds are still selling for what the weekends sold for last couple of years.

Prices and quantity have been holding strong. Maybe if good weather holds then Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday get

some nice last minute price drops? I’ve never seen Wednesday-Friday (especially Thursday and Friday) get great price drops 24 hours out but @dmbolp definitely has better insight than me.

If Monday weather is bad, Tuesday rises and vice versa, Wednesday is always over priced. Thurs-Fri is always the highest demand and Sat-Sun is always discounted for tourney rounds. If good weather all week holds then this…..should……apply?

I agree with this logic actually lol. If the whole week is good then there won't usually be surges for the 1 good weather day.

Well yeah, bad weather early in the week will certainly result in higher/panic sales later on, particularly if days are cancelled.  But I don't think you can expect the inverse.
