Has anyone purchased NICK FALDO SQAIRZ golf shoes?

I own 4 pair. The first pair I got here by being picked as a reviewer. I think they are among some of the best golf shoes ever made. One can choose to believe their claims of added yardage or not, or one can choose to like or dislike the square toe, but for stability, traction and comfort I think they can't be beat.

One of the first things I noticed about them when taking them out of the box is the fact that they are a little heavier than your typical golf shoe. I equate that, personally, with sturdier construction. The wider toe box adds to comfort and the traction is such that I have not slipped once wearing a pair of them, even going up and down some pretty slippery slopes in sloppy conditions. They are also waterproof. If one believes the swing starts from the ground up there probably is something to the distance gains depending on how the added stability enhances one's swing, with results varying by individual.

I've got 5 pairs and as @phil75070 I was picked as a reviewer on the spy forum.  I really like the shoes, most comfortable I've ever worn and the stability is outstanding.  I highly recommend them.  I usually ride but I've walked in them a bunch of times and no issues with the weight, etc.  They have replaced all my other shoe brands.

I bought my first pair in 2021 and like them a lot.  I'm old with wide, bad feet.  The wider toe box is great and they are really comfortable underfoot.  Not sure I buy into the added distance, as I haven't seen it.  But they are stable and comfortable.  That's all that really matters to me.  I don't even care if a shoe is ugly, as long as it feels good.  But that is an advantage of being my age.

Are they only sold as OEM direct to consumer or can they be obtained via Ebay sellers once in awhile at lower $?

Think you should try them both and see which feel better for yourself.  Like I’ve noted above Sqairz are the most comfortable for my feet.

I can try the FJs at the golf shop, but I’m really not too excited about having to order a pair of shoes just to try the Squairz. If I’m not mistaken, doesn’t Squairz charge a restocking fee for returns?

Honestly I'm not sure.  Just give them a call and get the details.

I have 2 pair, they're that nice.  Also, couple other guys in our regular 4some bought them.  We all agree, incredibly comfortable and very waterproof (we're dewsweepers).

I wear a 10 E dress shoe, with 11 arch length, the 10.5 Sqairz fit perfectly.

The laces are awesome, have little silcone dots on them, they never come untied.

Free lifetime soft spikes for owners, pretty nice (like $6 to ship, oh well)

I've owned about every premium shoe (FJ, Adidas, Nike, Ecco) and Sqairz are my favorite.

I now own 4 pair, black with gray, white with navy and gray with gray in the Arrow model, and the white with silver Speed model. I agree with everything you stated. In addition, the great thing I've experienced is the traction. I believe they patented their sole design and I have not slipped even going up or down some pretty steep slopes in very wet conditions, much less "spin out" when taking an all-out swing.

I don't put a lot in their added distance claims but that can vary with the individual. As I understand it, during their testing, the guy that saw the largest distance gain and the one that they have used, unfortunately, had a terrible sway which the Sqairz shoes helped to reduce, allowing him to get better, center face contact more frequently. An established, long-time golfer with a better than half decent swing probably isn't going to gain much, at least not a huge, discernible amount. Distance gains aside, they are very much worth considering.

I also just added a pair of Callaway Coronado V2 spiked shoes for the year.  I bought these on recommendation from a friend and because they are available in 12 wide.  3 rounds on them and they are as comfortable as Sqairz.  Not quite as stable, but are lighter.  I will be swapping between Sqairz and these new Callaway's all summer and decided not to make my normal Ecco spikeless purchase this year.

I wanted to clarify something in my post above.  The Callaway are noticeably lighter than the Sqairz Speed.  They are less stable, but you will notice the weight difference if walking or on CPO days.

The first thing I noticed when I unboxed my first pair of Sqairz was the weight of the shoe. However, I attribute that to the sturdy construction that will have my Sqairz outlasting other golf shoes at least 2-to-1.

Faldo's son wasn't wearing Sqairz at the PNC because when the college rules changed regarding compensation, Nike swooped in and is apparently paying him handsomely.

Faldo’s son is wearing Under Armor shoes in that picture.

These are great shoes, especially if you wear orthotics and if your feet are wide in the toe box. They are the most stable shoe I've ever experienced.  I love them.

I took the plunge, and ordered a pair. I decided to try them for the comfort benefits. I’m not really expecting to gain any distance, but it would be ok to gain a few yards. They are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I’m looking forward to giving them a try. I did try the FJ Premier, and I thought the toe area was too shallow.

Just received my shoes, and they do not feel comfortable at all! Too wide, very heavy, and an overall clunky feel. They will be returned as soon as possible. I don’t doubt the other responses here, but they are not for me. This is the first time I have ever ordered shoes without trying them on, and it will be my last. I really don’t like that I have to pay return postage plus a restocking fee. $26 for shoes that were out of the box less than five minutes. Lesson learned.

Is the heel opening wider/looser than normal?

I can't say with any degree of certainty, but it seems no wider than the New Balance or Footjoys I was wearing before switching to Sqairz. I've not had any blisters or anything. I would say "size appropriate"?

STOP...they told me that the shoes they were sending would be like a 10.5EE.  I could not get my foot in the shoes. I measured the outside of instep area below the laces and it is 4..027".   My 10.5 size Skechers that have a nice wide fit, have a measurement of 4.408". Which is nearly a 1/2 inch wider. Their Marketing claims are deceiving. OH; they do not provide ACTUAL refunds; you can exchange if NEVER used and returned, spending $12 for their shipping label and another $12.99 for a Restocking fee of the shoes they will not provide REFUND for; only exchange, which they don't have any that will fit my Wide 10.5 size feet. BUYER Beware!  And shame on NICK FALDO  and Rick Smith in Michigan for supporting this BRAND.
