In my experience with both it's worth it.  I found the QST about 10 yards shorter than the TaylorMade Tour Response off every club but half wedges.  Also the Tour Response seemed to have a touch more spin.  It's a shame because I prefer the slightly firmer feel of the QST but as a moderate swinger I want every bit of distance I can get, especially off the tee when it could be the difference between approaching with a mid vs short iron/wedge.  

It’s definitely longer for me, but the occasional flier is a round killer. I’m going back to something more dependable.

I have done a little shopping for a new ball to play next year and was reviewing the MGS reviews of numerous different ones. My focus was on moderate to slower swing speeds hoping to find candidates that suited both as I probably sit in the middle of the two these days. I put together their graphics for the top balls for Driver and Iron for both slower and moderate swing speeds. After reviewing the same what jumped out was not  only was the Taylormade Response in all 4 quadrants but how well it did in each. My conclusion is of course this looks like a must try if anyone sits in between these two swing speeds like I do. So of course I bought some and can't wait to catch a round still this year or get out in the spring to play them!

I played the Tour Response the other day and I do love it. However, I don’t play enough and still tend to lose balls so at $40/doz it’s outside of my price range.

I played one for roughly 9 holes this past weekend, I blasted one way OOB off the tee and one of the guys tossed me one to hit my 3rd shot. I ended up holding onto it for the rest of the round and I was fairly impressed. My main ball is the e12 Contact and I found the Tour Response to be a bit more responsive around the greens, but otherwise a lot like the Bridgestone. Decent flight & feel through the bag.

 I liked the original version better than the new one. 

Just seemed to work better for me. 

Also, at $40dz, there are better balls for less $.

ERC Soft, Maxfli Tour, Snell MTB to name a few.

Nooo, hadn't seen that yet.  I'm afraid that will be the trend for most ball prices this year.

How does the Vice Pro soft compare? Do they have similar launch and flight characteristics?

I found a random box at Target for 39.99 and with the Target card got 5% off.

i tried a box this season, and had no complaints. Very similar in every category, but would give a slight distance advantage to the Tour Response.
