Found a sequence in my swing that I changed to get more speed (slight pause at top) and then compared the shafts. Ventus still great contact but ball speed not as good as the Tensei blue. Maybe I am not gripping down as much on the Tensei (Ventus plays 44.5” whereas the blue is stock and I choke down).  These shots were last of the day using prov1

Had the best driving day with the Ventus today. Gonna collect another round with it and then try the other shafts. I now have Shotscope so I can get reliable on course numbers. Avg today was 291 on 4 drives with first of the day being 266 and the rest over 280.

In my experience, the AV raw white vs 22' AV white, the 22' AV is much smoother and more stable to me. It is in between the standard raw white and the pro 1k white in feel for me. Titleist offers the 22' AV as a oem option. I snatched one up cheap someone switched out for a back up driver to my gamer with a 1k.

i tried out the 65S AV Raw white vs the 65S AV white today and honestly could not tell the difference. I know the new version has the Xlink but I had no idea. Only thing i figured out is that the Blue is too soft for me swinging at 101 MPH.

Ya the blue for me didnt feel too soft but i struggle to decipher shaft feel. I need to get some more swings with the blue now that my swing work is kicking in. I bet i may lose more left now (last round with ventus was very stable.

This is definitely true. It is very smooth, even compared to the ventus.

i have a problem comparing shaft feel also, both the blue and white felt great but the white went much straighter for me. i assume the lower torque made it better

I may be mistaken but MR70 is a fiber while Xlink is a bonding material. So it could have both?

Did some range testing today with the 3 shafts toward the end of my range session. Have video of 5-6 swings with each and PRGR data. My swing is still a work in progress so wont post the videos. The Ventus was mainly center strikes. The White and Blue Tensei's were toe centric. The flight of the white seemed lower than the black but similar dispersion and slightly faster on average. The blue gave decent numbers but my shot shape was all over. I got a good sense of the looseness of the shaft today and my swing it probably not smooth enough for it.

Gave up on the Tensei for now to focus just working on my skill. I may revisit again once I get better face consistency

The Tensei AV Raw White in 70S produced the lefts for me in my fairway woods.  Switched to Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7S and very happy.

 

New driver to test, hopefully arriving soon, with the Tensei AV Blue 65S with Xlink.

For those who have tried the new Tensei AV Blue with XLink, how would you describe the flex feel?

 

I played a few Mistubishi Blue shafts in the past and always had to go to a stiffer flex than what I played in the white or orange. Blue in stiff felt really smooth but also felt loose compared to the sibling shafts. Curious is XLink changed any perceived flex feel?

i have a 7x in my 4w. its still pretty soft and I can get hooky if I am not on tempo
