it’s crazy to me how fast the running back position has been devalued in the nfl. 

 

it doesn’t seem like that long ago we were in the golden age of running backs and now they’re signing guys in the parking lot to carry it just enough to open up the passing game.

... Bears drop down a spot and let the Eagles take Carter. I am hoping this isn't a repeat of the Rams jumping in front of them to take Aaron Donald. This time they gave it away. I think he has that kind of disruptive potential. Questions about work ethic but not in games. Practice? You talking about Practice? Obviously HC signed off on the Tackle they selected and Poles is an ex lineman so we knew this was coming. And trading down letting Anderson get away is a huge mistake that I think will bite them. I have always thought when there is a generational talent available, you take him. 

... On another note, the Jets kid from Make A Wish reading the pick absolutely killed it!!!

... I am reminded of the Leaf/Manning draft. Both were asked what they would do if selected 1st in the draft and Leaf said "Go to Vegas Baby!" and Manning said "Get the playbook and start studying". Some guys get it and some don't. Many of these guys have always been the best players on their team and don't understand there is another level. Best explanation I ever heard was before my sons senior year in high school he went to a seminar from a top scout that basically said "great players don't play at their current level. High school guys play at the college level and college guys play at the NFL level. Just being the best isn't nearly enough".

... I think it is one of the reason guys that were slighted have a chip on the shoulder forever. Jordan and Brady come to mind.
