Yep. They were an incredibly good deal to begin with.  One of the few late model cars I can think of that went up in value from day 1.

As for the Ioniq 6. When I saw it in the commercial featuring Kevin Bacon n his daughter I thought it looked really good. Then saw it in person and it unfortunately didn’t translate for me.

1938... there's a story that goes with it.  I bought it a couple dozen years ago.  There was a much older attorney friend I had cocktails with, Jack.  Smart and witty guy.  I told him I was buying a house and he asked where.  Ironically, his dad built/designed the house and little Jack grew up there!  So he loaned me his childhood albums that showed cute little Jack, but more importantly, the exteriors and interiors of the house behind Jack. 

 

So I was able to see the house in its prime, before people started covering the oak floors with carpeting and before a kitchen addition (complete with ugly linoleum flooring) and a bedroom addition.  Jack has long passed on but it was great to see those ancient photos. 

 

And yes, everything is now back to the original wood floors.

Try painting those when there's glass in 'em.  My home has 160 of those small panes!  I don't even frog tape them off anymore... just come back one day later with a razor blade.

It's the amount of work to finish these. Asked my buddy in TX how he does it, he said let the client figure it out. 😆

Oh. Gotcha.  Makes sense. I looked hard and couldn’t find an issue. Duh. Not finished.  That thing every customer gripes about “ well I think you should have finished by now “.  Me - ok.… them - frustrated looks.  😂.    It takes as long as it takes man !  You know this.

.. Pretty much how I feel. Although for an EV the I6 certainly looks OK, just a little smaller and the lines don't look as nice. The rear looks like the trunk will be tiny. Ironically I think the GV60 is the opposite and looks much better in person. I still hadn't seen one when I went to pick mine up and told the Sales Manager I reserved the right to just get my deposit back if I didn't like the look because I hadn't seen one. Front end looked about like I expected which is passable, but the rest of it had much better lines and didn't look anywhere near as squat as it does in pictures. I was prepared to transfer my deposit to an Ioniq5 and wait another year but I was pleasantly surprised.

Have to put another coat on after they are glazed.  Other than some maintenance on the storms, these should last a lifetime with minimal upkeep.  I'm not sure of the age of ones in building, but shedding water wasn't even a thought with how it's put together. 

 

I plan for the storms to make it maybe 30-40 years before they may have to be replaced, at least the front lowers. Cheaper than a 6/6 sash.

It's the one NATMUS owns. I am fairly certain they restored it.  I know the reproduction tires from Coker were 10k each. I believe they were actually donated by Kindig because NATMUS had a good black wall off one of the semi's that accompanied the traveling display.
