Luckily (for some) the cut moved to +2 late in Round 2.  Brought a few more players (JT, Mitchell) back into the fray.  Looking forward to a long week-end of golf in PVB FLA.

We need a description please of Martin's Potato toast, and an accompanying photo would be a bonus.

Is this a bread that is a specific to the the NY/ Conn. area? Is it a bread that you folks that are health conscious eat? 

I love all things potato so you have me curious CS.

i don’t know if it’s a regional thing. i don’t think so though. i used to find it in the supermarket in seattle when i lived there, too. 

 

it’s not any healthier or less healthy than any other bread. bread is bread. don’t get sold on the myth of multi grain or whole wheat lol. 

 

i just like it because of the taste. in my opinion, it’s the best bread hands down for a pbj sandwich

Mr. Commissioner Big Fish I have a suggestion. Back when we did a season long PGA Tour picks contest during covid we would pick one alternate each week. That alternate was used in the event someone WD'd at the last second or during the first round. If we had done that this week then those that selected Rahm would have just plugged in their replacement. I think we should do the alternate player thing starting with the Masters. What do you think?

OK.  I enjoy potato bread too so I was wondering if yours was unique. 
Potato bread also makes a fine grilled ham and cheese and it tasty when used for French Toast.

breakfast and dinner are my two “big” meals every day. i pick and snack the rest of the day to fill up my numbers. not really a big lunch guy at all. greek yogurt and some fruit is definitely on the menu.

 

your sis in katonah, yeah? keep coming another 40 northwest and we order gino’s and watch the player’s on the movie screen!

My morning coffee with sugar and half/half cuts my breakfast appetite so I usually go light. But then I’m starving by noon so do good sized lunch, then 2 snacks between lunch and dinner, then big dinner. I’ve got good at structuring things so the pre dinner food is same macros/calories day to day. Then I’m good at estimating how much to eat for dinner. Basically til nice and full but not stuffed. Rarely snack after dinner but will dose a little cheese if need something.

 

Thanks for the invite, that TV of yours is insane!
The thing about my sis place is the freakin TV is mounted above the fireplace and the sofa is too close so you’re like looking up too much!

that’s why i go tea in the morning! 

 

usually have a cold brew somewhere around 11 for the caffeine fix. 

 

for a while, my pre-workout was two scoops of beta-alanine in a medium cold brew!  id be hearing colors and seeing sounds warming up on the bike 😂😂

My friend "managed" one of these places when he was in high school They would close at 9pm and then we would play frisbee, drink watery beer and smoke Panama Red in the lit parking lot. I can't imagine anything close to that happening nowadays. Haha.

Ha Nard !  We did the same thing at KFC in Manchester, Missouri when I was in HS.

First a question. How do you take your hot dog? 

I go with mustard, onions, and pickles. Today I put a little shredded cheddar on mine. 

 

Today's lunch was something you might get at the Ball Park.

Hot Dog with potato chips.

Mixed green salad with ranch dressing. 

For desert Apple Crisp.

My beverage was bottled water. 

 

It was simple on a Saturday.

I think this is a good idea.  In my post for the Masters, I will have everyone choose an alternate along with their 5 picks.  I also have a thought for the remaining for majors that may throw a good wrinkle into the mix.
