On average, how many balls do you lose per round?

I've been close to doing that but usually just grab more at the turn cause i didnt bring enough. If I actually had to and the cart girl agreed it would easily be 20-25min tip or stupid tax on my part.

As far as op I put 2-4. My home course is one where you can lose some balls pretty easily, and there are times when I can lose a good amount.  However I also find a good amount, so I often come out even or over.

I now it sounds far fetched but I played every morning at first light with my general manager and our casino manager before work as we had a corporate membership there. It started as a joke after the third round so I just used it every day to see how far I could go with it, the ball was a Spaulding Tour Edition, had I been in a tourny or a money match in the middle of the streak I probably would have rested it

I seem to lose them to poachers. 

 

I watched at least a dozen yellow avx's get abducted by poachers.

Rarely lose a ball on my new home course. Only real trouble is a long par 4 with water about 2 yards from the start of the green all the way back to 80 yards. No way to play around it either. Worst part is that the tee shot can only land on an upslope, the hole always plays into the wind, and it's rare to get less than a 200 yard approach. I hate this hole. Most play it like a par 5. My problem for the rest of the course isn't lost balls. The cart path weaves in and out in strange places so I average about 2 balls per round that I have to take out of play due to scuffs.

Depending on the day, I’ve lost a whole box of 12 before 

 

my best round which was a 9, I think I somehow kept the same ball. Man that felt good

I put 0-1, but thats on my home muni’s where there is little trouble.

 

Played Coyote Springs in Mesquite last month & lost a couple, but played the Palmer course at Oasis the next day without losing a ball.

 

Got 5 rounds booked in Scottsdale next month, including Ocotillo, Lookout Mtn & Eagle Mtn, so that will be a challenge to get through without some casualties 😄

HAHAHA classic.  

 

My club course is faily tough.  Not much OB but you can not miss the fairway off the tee. Every year coming off the winter rust I loose an average of 2 per round to the damn fescue areas. I started playing "cheap" balls until the winter rust is gone. 

 

Also there is zero water on the course. Okay one spot but if you hit the water you might as well go into the clubhouse and start drinking 🙄 🤣

 

During the season I will go play other courses that everyone touts as "super hard" and find it to be much easier.  I can play a round typically with the same ball 50% of the time.

It is always a treat when I find a ball that I play. Yesterday I didn't lose any and found 4 balls. Two were my brand so I came out ahead. +2

0-1.  I don't lose alot of balls at the course I play.  I usually retire a ball after 54 holes... play the Pro V1X exclusively. I tried other balls but after a couple of rounds always come back to the V1X. 

 

I don't mind paying the $55 a dz (although I load up on the 4/3 loyalty program now).  Trying to save a buck a ball never made much sense to me since balls are the cheapest thing I buy to play this game.

Depends on the course. If I'm at my home course, which is heavily tree lined and has long fescue rough along every fairway.... then a bad day driving will lose you 4-6 balls easily. On other courses maybe 1-2 depending how I'm playing.
