@Ewood808 - what made you make the switch if the results were somewhat similar? Was it dispersion? Wanting to upgrade?

I’ve got 714 AP2s which I love and am thinking of upgrading to new T100s pending a fitting

@Brunhil Distance dispersion on mishits was what ultimately won me over. They didn't feel bad hit thin or towards the toe with the tungsten weighting compared to toe mishits with the 714's. Shaft change to DG from PX was another factor. I switched to DG s400 from Px 6.0 in new wedges and the feel was much better, I wanted to continue that with the irons.

So what’s the guidance on where to order from? Titleist.com seems to have the quickest turnaround time?

The Titleist fitter I spoke to said order from big box stores. I mentioned I was going to place my order on the Titleist website and he said box stores have large accounts and send a lot of volume. They will process those orders at a higher priority level over web site orders.

I have no idea if this is actually true but it seems plausible.

Why didn't you try the T150 as well?

@TheOverratedPhotog - I'm not a fan of the lofts. My bag is setup for the lofts of T100. I could've bent the T150's 2* weak to achieve the lofts I prefer to play, but overall I hit the T100's well and had no reason to try something else.

So the T150's closely align with the forgiveness, workability and feel of the newer AP2 iron sets? Are the T200 long irons that much more forgiving and higher launching than the T150 long irons?

I found the launch and forgiveness to be marginal but still noticeable in the long irons. There is a bit more pop off the face as well. I went T200 for my 5 and 6 irons knowing I would be a bit more confident and consistent coming out of the rough or a bad lie with the bigger head and extra forgiveness.

I spoke to Titleist customer service this morning, they told me new T150 orders are backed up they didn't anticipate the demand they said its 40% of the new iron sales so far so 4 weeks wait but that depends on heads supplier so who knows. U505 as well in the same boat. I ended up changing shafts as well since recoil was delayed. Oh well , hope its worth the wait!

That's what I heard as well when I spoke to our inside rep--as for the backlog of 150 heads, more coming at the end of the month should fulfill all current orders.

But what surprised me is he said the 350 has been the biggest seller in terms of models of any of them, but they figured that gong in and had more than enough 350 heads to handle the demand.  So if that and your 40% are correct, that leaves 10 to 15% for the T100 and T200 models, I would guess it's probably 12%  T200 and 3% T100

I am just about to order T200 4-6, T150 7-PW. As you say, just want a little more forgiveness in the top of the bag

Anecdotally, at my club the fitter put one guy (a +4) in T100.  He fit several other guys in the scratch (or better) to 10 HCP range, but the rest of them he put in the T150s.

Got my combo set of T200 and T150 late yesterday, so couldn't hit a ball until today.  I'm sure this has been stated in the 60 pages already but hopefully here to add something new.  The new shape of the T150 gap wedge is much improved over the T100S, like by a mile... '21 T100S was had weird sharp angles, this T150 is much more rounded but still titleist sharp.   The 7 iron doesn't feel as fake springy as the old T100S did, and the T200 are better but not by as much as I was expecting.  To be honest, I didn't have a big an issue with the '21 T200 as most others, but the new ones perform the same which is all I care about.  They sound better when you tap the back, but still miles from T150.  I don't think T150 are that much softer than '21 but that's a personal thing anyway.  Long story short, I thought these would kick my "temporary" Mizzy Pro 223 out of the bag immediately, but I may need to test a little.

I did this. 150 bent 2 weak for the height/spin/distance i prefer and still a little more forgiving iron  for me than the 100.

I'm going to do two Titleist fittings today. One for irons and one for wedges. I was fitted earlier this year by a big box store in some T300's, but ended up returning them as I found out the new irons were just around the corner. It will be interesting to see if the Titleist fitter sees anything different. I'm hoping the weather and delivery times cooperate! I've been waiting to play new clubs since May! I also decided to do wedges at the same time so hopefully, we can fine-tune the lofts for a more seamless blend between all the clubs.

Had a great fitting on Sunday. Ended up with T100 7-GW, T200 6-7 (which will effectively be my 5 and 6 iron), and T200 Utility 4 Iron. Stock lofts on everything. Loft progression is: T100 50, 46, 42, 38, 34, then T200 30.5° (will bend to 30°), 27° (will bend to 26°), and T200 Utility 23. Gives me slightly tighter gaps and lower flight in my short irons, and better blending into my sand wedge without doing a bunch of bending. Kudos to my fitter for coming up with this. Also, kudos to Titleist for having a bunch of irons  to hit and not just a bunch of 7 or 6 irons. I love this setup and can't wait to get the clubs.

Also, U505 is INSANE, just don't have a place for it in my bag.

Of course, understandable. I was the opposite, steep AOA,  100' apex, launch angle 13-14 and spin just at 6000~ ish

Titleist irons are the only irons I've played since I was 15 - 981s, AP2s, T100-S (first gen which were bent one degree weak).  The only reason I was really looking at new irons was due to swing changes causing a shaft misfit / too high of a launch...I went from 100.1 to 95.3 MPH with a 6-iron (combo of age and just being more in control).   My current T100-S shaft is the Modus 130 X which is HIGH launch.  I had a steep AoA before (-8) but as my swing is now at a -3 AoA...the Modus 130 X was launching way too high which cost some distance in normal conditions and was terrible in wind.

I had fittings with both Titleist and TrueSpec to make sure I was not being crazy about my launch conditions...ended up with DG S400s, which is probably what I had in my 981s from 20+ years ago but it got launch and spin down to where I needed it.   I am keeping my 3 iron TM-B (for now) but went 4-9 T150, P T150 (bent 1 lower to 45), then G in T100 (so 50 to blend in).

T150s look absolutely amazing so a big part of me is happy the swing change helped justify buying new irons after only 4 years (I try for 6-8 years) and the feel/performance of T150s did not disappoint.  I liked my T100-S when the shaft worked for my swing but I personally believe the T150 feels amazing on center strikes and the toes strikes were still solid.

Anyone else order on 8/3 and still have no update?

🙋‍♂️

Ordered 5-6 T200 and 7-PW T150 with Project X IO 6.0 shafts and Tour Velvet 360 White grips and no updates since.

Not too overeager, because the wife just had our second child yesterday, but I’d love to get them in so I can stare at them until I get the okay to go play. 😂
