Practice mat recommendations

I am looking for a good quality practice mat with good padding to set up in the garage and hit balls into my net.  What do you recommend?  Thanks.

I got a grade B used mat from Rawhide golf. It's been great for me. I have it set up on my backyard patio and have used it for the past 2 years. Plenty of padding and a durable surface.

I have a Fiberbuilt studio setup and have been very happy with it. Expensive, but it’s well built and it lasts. Had it for just under five years and just replaced the hitting section for the first time.

I would advise that whatever mat you get, don't overdo it.  I wrecked my elbow pretty good overusing a practice mat, and am just now getting back to somewhat pain free a year later.  Just don't skip on price.

Fiberbuilt. 5' x 4' or bigger.

Fibrebuilt or Quattro. Don’t waste money on anything else. I was in the range equipment business for about a decade and sold thousands of mats. These are the only 2 I’d spend my money on.

It’s a “lots of cheap mats suck and will fall apart while wrecking your wrists” post. I’ve seen them all. Literally all.

I believe Rawhide gets their used mats from TopGolf. The B-grade mats are plenty nice for a backyard/garage setup. It’s what I use.

I would recommend dipping your toes in, you may find after using that you like or want something different.  Get the Gungho hitting strip (easier on body) and then just go to a big box hardware store and get some rubber tiles and fake grass to stand on.  Should be able to do a decent setup that is body friendly for under $300.

Truestrike is also a very good option.  I enjoy mine.  It is spendy like a fiberbuilt but it is very good and I have had no issues.

I have one of these and it’s gentler on your joints than CCE and is more realistic than Fiberbuilt (don’t like how the ball sits up on Fiberbuilt, really screwed me up when I went back and played outside).

You are correct in several ways here. 
CCE are the worst. A wrist injury waiting to happen. 
Fiberbuilt is much better for sweepers of the ball in terms of keeping things similar on real turf. Diggers will have trouble finding a solid strike on real turf after too long on their bristle hitting product. 
Turf Hound is another brand I sold loads of. Decent mat as well and Quattro remains the best 5x5.
