LOL, it's more than 3-5 yds and less than 2-3 fairways/round. The women are so short and accurate that hitting fairways is not a problem.

What's more than 3-5 yards? Are you claiming that for EVERY golfer, Ping drivers are shorter? If so, that's a broad assumption and just shows ignorance and bias on your end.

I know Ping has been popular this year but not this freaking popular. I know it's just 1 weekend but man they are doing good things now, just need people to actually hit on instead of saying they sound like junk.

Does this say more about how many are signed to Ping at this level or chose the Ping?

Ping is just the most generous at that level.

They actually aren't. I know a few top junior players (inside top 50) and Ping was not giving them clubs, but other OEMs were gladly giving them clubs at no cost. It's just not true.

Why do you think so many college players have ping clubs?

Ping partners more with the college than the players, I would argue.

The original claim from you was that "Ping is just the most generous at that level." While there are plenty of Ping clubs in the bags of college golfers, the title of "most generous" isn't a true statement. My line of work allows me to be close to top junior players and Ping has been one of the more difficult OEMs for those players to get equipment from.

Right. They partner with schools/programs and give that equipment to those athletes.

Itd be weird to partner with a program and give them nothing.

At the upper levels of college golf, players can get and play pretty much anything they want. That being said, Ping have long been a HUGE supporter of not just college golf but junior golf.

I am referring to players, not programs. Ping isn't leading the charge on handing out clubs to junior golfers. Even college programs now, they aren't as prominent as they used to be.

All this really tells us is these players have not yet been able to hit the Paradym Triple Diamond. I’m half serious.

You can’t conclude from this they had their pick of any driver and they all picked Ping. If they tried every driver the results would be different. We don’t even know what they tested. Maybe Ping was all they hit.

I guess the guy in 7th has hit it.

why would they try every driver you know there isn’t enough difference between them to matter. Clearly the pings are working sufficiently for these guys

Obviously no one is going wrong with a Ping. I would say Ping is still the easiest driver to hit but that gap has closed and others match it. All I was saying is this doesn’t really prove anything regarding Ping versus other brands.

It has not been my experience there’s not enough difference between drivers to matter. That’s a subjective call and I see differences that matter quite a bit to me. In a general sense all modern drivers qualify as excellent so I see your point, but I was surprised in getting fit how I was considerably better with a few heads.

Well, doesn’t anyone have access to all OEMs? if you’re saying they all tried all the drivers and that many chose Ping, I’m not buying it. Unless they’re all hard of hearing.

Maybe it's just a really good driver line?

And where have I said it isn’t? Not even being debated. They’re great drivers.  Are they the best out there? Matter of opinion. Ping gets its gear out to a lot of juniors and amateurs and builds those relationships early. It’s not open tryouts. Players competing tend to stick with the brand they’ve been using. Their Prodi-G line is super and it’s popular with youngsters.
