Has anyone compared the 0317 CB’s (which I have and love) to the new Titleist T150’s which also are very nice.  I’d love to put these 3 irons now head to head in a simulator to see the numbers.  Feel, distance, smash factor, dispersion.   My golfing buddy has the new T150’s which I’ve tried and liked the feel and look a lot.   It’s really hard to tell the difference to be honest.  Any feedbacks on this?  Thanks.

Pull up the YouTube video from TXG.  Ian was gaming the CB and after a visit to Titleist, it appears he is switching to the T150.

I’m not Ian and I just never got on with Titleist gear.  But, I love the CB’s.

I posted earlier in another spot here and I can attest to both.   I saw the video above and Ian, gotta love him, he changes irons like toilet paper and the review above he wasn’t comparing/testing the T150’s he I now gaming to the new 0317 T’s, they didn’t come out yet.  You watch this week, Ian will post a video comparing his T150s to the 0317 T’s and he’ll change again lol.   I bought the T150’s and they feel nice but I was getting more out of my PXG 0317 CB’s and I’m trading in my T150’s it’s driving me insane right now.   I’m going to test the new 0317 T’s and see where the numbers come in at.  I might just see about perhaps blending a few T’s into the bag to compliment my CB’s but Titleist I’m seriously ready to throw in my clubs pond now that the dust has settled.  I kind of laughed at myself the other day with all of this, I sound and feel like Bob Parson’s back in the day.  Trying every single club thinking it was for me only for me, to come back or in his case, create PXG.   God bless that man.

MTNBIKER5Q EXTREME GOLF has a nice ring to it.  Will we see (MXG) soon?

It happens to a lot of us. It can get a little crazy, there are so many great choices out there. Testing the T should help you figure it out. Could be a T/CB combo for you. Sounds like you were happy with the CB so maybe build from that.

It's also worth noting that Ian changes his clubs more often than his underwear.

lol.  We should start a little pool here to see if/when he changes again.  Also agree on above post re the new T/CB combo.  I absolutely love the CB’s so yeah, I need to see how this new T performs and find how/where it could fit in the bag.  It’s nice to have really good options though for sure.

Sorry for the dumb question. T or CB are more like the T150’s? I have the Gen5 P’s and really wanting a smaller iron with great feel. LOVE The size of the 150’s, but always love the PXG feel.

Second that advice. If you like the feel of the PXGs then do go a switching. I've been mixing forged cavity backs in with my gen 3 P irons and it's fun but nothing feels like a PXG. I've hit T200, P770, P790, Mizuno 223. Out of those the 223 felt the closest but just not as effortless as the PXG. Glad to see that there's a Gen 6 T version out now. I may need a bit more distance help so P might be best for me. I'm sure I'll give it a try to see if it helps with dispersion. If it's like a TM P770 then that's great since those just seem to go straight for me; they just don't feel like a PXG.

Thanks. Is the CB or T the one more between a 0311T or T150?

I can’t answer that, maybe someone here can chime in.   On PXG’s site it breaks down the clubs and they’re actually showing the T’s to be more forgiving than the CB’s, is this right?   This could be a home run for me if so.  As for the T150, I’m still on the fence with that lineup other than lofts are jacked a little depending on the club.  Based on my experience, my on course performance between the two has been leaning towards PXG and I’ve taken both out at my club and compared side by side multiple times.   Everyone is different but PXG has treated me very very well with my scoring.   Titleist irons have done nothing for me whatsoever.

I don’t know that either are between the 0311T and the T150.  Having hit both the T and the CB I will say the 0317T is between the 0311T and the 0317CB in size - frankly it’s perfect; especially with the narrow sole.  The 0317T is more forgiving than the CB due to being hollow, slightly larger, and having 15G of tungsten in the toe.

Having a few rounds in, the CB is awesome for me in the 7-W.  Frankly, I’m fine in the 5 and 6 as well, but would like a little more distance at the top end to gap between my U500 4 iron.  I’m ordering 5-7 in the T to give me some flexibility on where to split.  And, I may even order 8-W in the T come bonus time so I can intermingle however I see fit!

I also agree with prior posts, the PXG feel is excellent.  The T feels more soft, but great.  The CB feels “dense” and solid.

This 0317 line is excellent!

I think The Average Golfer on YouTube needs to make a 0317T vs T150 comparison.   He’ll get to bottom of all of this for us.  Tell you what, in the end, it’s really really nice to have incredible options here regardless.  Refreshing to say the least.  👍🏻

I know this is the T thread but to follow

io on my fitting. Even though the T was a hair better in all categories than the CB shelling out $1500 at the end of the year for a set of T’s wasn’t really in the cards. I did find a set of CB’s on PXG’s eBay store in my exact specs. They were listed as “value” but were only $735. Fingers crossed they are in better than advertised shape and I can stick with them. They do have free returns also so really a no lose situation.

I’ve been waiting around all day for my T’s to be delivered (ESTIMATED AT 10:00 - 2:00).  I was feeling like a kid at Christmas.  In typical FedEx style, they proved to be the grinch they are and delayed delivery until tomorrow.  Never mind that I have a morning tee time.  The comparison testing between the T, CB and Gen 5 T will have to wait another day - UGH!

Talked to PXG about a build today, they said they couldn’t go beyond a D4 swing weight. I don’t understand that at all. So I asked if they could ship without shafts or shafts not installed (so that I could adjust as needed and not waste time pulling and preparing hosels) and they said no. Anyone else play beyond D4 get any pushback?

Currently playing ZX7’s (which I’ve enjoyed some great golf with) but with roughly 30% more offset than my gen5 0311t’s I struggle to match the workability/precision. Based on the 0317 specs I’m feeling like these could do to the trick. Going to order up a 7 iron and test on my GC Quad against the 0311t and ZX7.

What length are you playing? They probably just don't carry weights that go higher than D4 if you're at standard. You are then either going to have to lead tape or tip weight. Lead tape is the better of the two options IMO as it doesn't shift the CG.

As for offset, I feel like the 0311T don't actually look much less offset than ZX7 even if the numbers say otherwise. Further, lots of tour players bend the ZX7 weak and play pretty precise golf. I have always played near zero offset irons but this year went for a JDM set of Mizuno MP20 MMC which do have some offset and have never hit my irons better. Can flag hunt just fine. Don't think too much into it if you've played good golf with them.

Were they the black finish?  PXG seems to list most of the black finish irons as “value” on eBay.  I don’t have any personal experience but would guess from seeing pics of the black after some use that the “value” rating is purely cosmetic.  Like you said, if they are in rough shape just send them back.
