High Launch driving iron

Any suggestions for a high launch driving iron or shaft?

 

I have the new T200 2 iron and like it, but would love to hit it higher. I’m not a hybrid or 7 wood guy. I would also consider a graphite 3 iron suggestion

I found the Ping iCrossover to be fairly high launch as far as utility irons go.  Maybe worth a try.

U505. Most driving irons flighted in approximately the same window for me when I tested except for this one (previous model). U505 was 10-20 feet higher peak height than the rest.

Mizzy Fli-Hi seems to get a lot of accolades for being easy to get up.

Stealth DHY? more of a long iron replacement, but may be really deadly with something like a ventus black in it.

I did try the T200u in the premium edition with GD AD DI shaft as i3 model and I did like it very much. Nice middle ball flight from the ground even with 20* loft 

 

my pocket simply did not like the high price tag

Ditto to U505. Launched the highest for me from 4-5 UDIs I tested.

The T200 lacks the "big butt" that many of the other DIs listed here have and those are designed to get higher launch.  Personally, I'm very partial to the Srixon ZX utility, which launches into a fantastically high window for me on full swings but can still be flighted down.

 

I went graphite on the shaft because I found it difficult to get a really stable iron shaft in the lighter weight range (95-105g) for long irons.  AD-DI and Ventus HB are fantastic shafts, but if you want to save a little money, do some research on some of the solid hybrid shafts of yesteryear and try to track down one that fits a general profile that you like.  Diamana makes some great ones, as well as Mitsubishi, Project X, etc.

 

I bought my DI head on here for $80 and fitted it with an old Diamana Thump 100g hybrid shaft that I found on eBay for like $70.  It's a strong candidate for favorite club in the bag.

I would just go to the T350 4 iron. When trialing out the 300s last year, a lighter and less stiff shaft was perfect. I switched my standard 4 iron out for the T300 5 iron. Thinking about doing something similar with the 4 iron 350 this year

Yeah U505 was very good launch for a driving iron

Can't really comment on a higher DI head, but the Ventus Blue HB and KBS hybrid proto are both really good mid/mid shafts.

Traded my T200 for a U505 with 1k 95x, much better!!!! Hitting it higher, and I can work it just a little more!
