Anyone playing PING Crossover in lieu of hybrids?

Hybrids have replaced my long irons these days. but at end of season, the 4 and 5 hybrids are getting inconsistent on me (it's probably me more than the clubs).  I have these original PING crossover 4 and 5 in storage (can't find the 3, not sure where I stored it after our house move), that I pulled out as a lark.   And lo and behold, I'm hitting then pretty consistently.  Much lower ball flight vs the hybrids, but definitely tighter dispersion on the fairway.  I'm going to bench the hybrids for these, for the last remaining couple rounds of the season.  I'll keep the 6 hybrid (28 degrees loft) as it works on two specific par 3 holes at my course.  Anyone else using PING Crossovers?   Related question, are the newer iterations of the Crossover significantly better than the original?

Use the new icrossover 3 iron, totally adjustable loft and lie. Great club, and easy to hit and launch. Playing the G430s with a 22 deg 5 iron, this was the perfect club for the 18* gap

I have the original Crossovers in a 3 and 4. 
I think the Crossovers are better off the tee than a hybrid (flatter trajectory) but the hybrid is easier to use out of bad lies. Off a fairway, I like the Crossover. 
It’s apples and oranges for me and I bag them depending on the course.

Just curious, are you still playing hybrids in your bag with the Crossover?   To each its own, but just curious...

I was lazy in selling off these original crossovers (I;m glad I didn't sell them!), but I'll work on them over the off season, and put them in play in spring depending on how they feel vs the hybrids.

No, before I went to the strong lofted G430s I played a 2, 4-PW

OG are super low spin....good luck holding firm greens. The 425 onwards has some serious ballspeeds- really easy to hit. New icrossover has merit with hosel adjustments, as well

Depends on the course and the wind and conditions in general. Will always use crossovers with a Rapture 2 DI on links, but play a few inland courses which can be windy and one where two par threes are 4 iron length so like to use my 5 Crossover (24 degree)

I’ve got the iCrossover 2 with a Atmos Black 9X - it’s an absolute missile launcher with low piercing flight.

 

I also have the iCrossover 3 with an AMT White S300 to blend with my irons and it’s so good - nice piercing flight with perfect flight

 

I couldn’t be happier with the above setup.  I had the G425 3 and 4 with the Ping Tour shaft - loved the 3, but the 4 launched way too high for me.

I use a U505 which is the same concept.....I'm a big fan of a PHAT iron instead of hybrids. I tend to hit them straighter with a more reliable trajectory

 

I struggle to elevate a true driving iron.....so a PHAT one is what i need

I tried all year to find a hybrid to fill the 4 iron spot, but wound up settling on a 4 iCrossover. It's currently in the flat, +1 setting, and fills the gap perfectly. It's really, really easy to hit, forgiving all over the face, and it launches high.

I struggle with every type of club in that window.  I can hit a 3w or 4w fairly well and hit my G400 4i fairly well but struggle with that one club between the 3/4w and the 4i.  The G400 3i that I have if fine off the tee but is too clunky off a tight fairway lie.  It also doesn't go that much farther than my 4i off the tee.
