Jeff - If you are in Plano, you should take a trip to the Arlington PGASS. They have all the LAB models and of course the new Spider models. Was just there yesterday.

Super easy to keep on path ... Easiest putter I ever used to keep on line.

BUT ... I have no feel with from short range. None. Lag putts are great. The concept of dying putts into the hole is non-existent. It's not a heavy putter, it just feels, to me, like a mass of steel and aluminum blobbed into the end of a stick. I'm 99 percent sure it's a me problem and not a putter problem. Haven't given up, but it's not in my bag at the moment.

I’ve never used a putter that send the line on my ball rolling end over end as often as it. I would highly recommend.

@tatertot @5hort5tuff I'm not sure if this helps, but my relationship with the Mezz Max has been up and down. However, I recently purchased a DF 2.1 and having used it, I think I learned something about me and why the Mezz was so streaky.

In short, my Link and Mezz Max are too 'normal' and as such I've over powered them both without knowing it.

The DF is so abnormal that I simply let it do the work and in doing so I learned that I allowed it to open on the way back and close on the way through - in accordance with it's lie angle. Yet with the Link and Mezz I was fine letting them open with the lie angle on the way back but I was essentially holding them off on the way through. The moment I treated them all the same as the DF everything fell into place.

TLDR: Let the Mezz Max open and close in accordance with its lie angle and don't hold off the follow through - to me this essentially meant letting the head pass my hands, the butt of the putter practically acting as a pivot point. HUGE difference. YMMV.

I just didnt see a benefit in keeping a putter I wasnt confident with in close. It wasnt just a few putts either.  Better for me to pick a putter I love in close...and work on lags. As you said..YMMV

FWIW-I rolled both at a local Club Champion-the regular Mezz felt much better than the Max.  The Link felt the best if all.  For me, all were equally easy to line up and stroke on line.  I went in thinking Mezz Max.  Bought the Link.

I found the Mezz.1 to be easier to align than the Mezz Max, even though the Max is more forgiving.  Went with the Mezz.1.

Love the Max.   I was worried about all of the no feel comments so I ordered it “heavier” and love it!

I have both the Mezz and the Mezz Max.  Love them both.  Ball almost always starts online.  Lag putting is pretty good overall.  I agree that the weakness of this putter is short putts, but that maybe a "me" issue, as I get alittle jabby with short putts for some reason.  I need to work more on this.

This is kind of what I have found as well.  You have to let the putter keep swinging on the through stroke.  With tourqe putters I would try to hold the face square after impact.  With LABs I feel like I have to let it "release" to the left.  The head comes inside and face rotates closed after impact.

The biggest con for me was the look of it. Looking down on it was just atrocious. The biggest pros for me was the so easy alignment. And as other members have stated. The ball just stays online. Another pro for me was the feel and the sound. I'm sure if I could get passed the look of it. Id game it in a heartbeat.
