Cleveland has put out some very good drivers over the past few years - and I've been a very happy with the ones I've played. 

 

This new XL looks a bit cleaner than the last iteration at address. Face looks a bit deeper - more of a TM shape than Callaway. Sole sees some TM influence as well. 

 

Hopefully the price point will remain competitive, and I'll have a chance to swing one!

I haven't hit this new version yet, but the previous was much better than I expected. Was very forgiving and while it had some spin to it, the ball speed numbers were very good. Excited to try the Launcher XL 2 as it does look good and a little more premium than last gen.

I think this new version looks great! Based just on the pictures, definitely more premium looking. Cleveland has been awesome about letting folks on this forum test products before — I’d love to see something like that with this lineup. Not that it necessarily matters that much since we probably all have picked up our own third party headcovers, but the headcover looks good too.

Wow, I think the new Xl2 looks great. I am not surprised one but that this thread only has 5 replies so far. Cleveland gets overlooked for their drivers . Guarantee you this will probably hang with the Ping G430 10K and the Qi10 Max and I hope someone does a review with comparable shafts, etc.. Crossfield has a review already and he loves it.

They should have gone concave with the crown like the og hibore xl. Had that driver for years. Still have hearing loss from it.

I would definitely like to see how this performs up against the G430 10K.

I was able to hit the new XL 2 driver at a golf show last weekend. I was not hitting it on a monitor so all I can tell you is what I felt and saw coming off the club. The driver felt absolutely fantastic. The ball felt like it was coming off the club quickly with a ton of forgiveness. I didn’t notice anything crazy unusual about the sound, but it was slightly different.  I don’t know what it is, but when you look down at the club, it gives you a ton of confidence.  You truly feel like you can pick a target, line up to the ball, and it’s going to end up reasonably close to where you aimed. 

 

I think this club is going to be a huge hit this year.  I am going to test one outdoors and if all goes well, I am going to buy it. I am typically a Cobra guy when it comes to drivers. But this thing is so forgiving and felt so good, it will be hard to keep it out of the bag.

 

I did buy the halo fairway wood and hit it in my backyard a few times. Again, extraordinarily forgiving and the ball, wants to fly straight.  The sound is slightly different, but not harsh.
