They make deals with Rory and Koepka as or before they become major forces in the game, and now after Tiger leaves they have fallen into two more superstars in Scottie and Nelly. I assume they have a scouting department for these athletes? They deserve a raise…

Yah when it comes to golf, seems like they throw $h*t on the wall and sees what sticks: Noren, Cam Champ, Patrick Reed also come to mind.

They def have a great scouting team, but as others have said, they sponsor a TON of golfers. I'm just glad they got away from some of their more "colorful" designs (I always felt bad for Fleetwood...he got the worst of them 😅).

Rory was already a known quantity when he left Titleist and signed with Nike starting in 2013. He had already had won 2 majors by 8 shots and around 10 events on the PGA/ET Tours combined through 2012.

Scottie and Nelly just front and center right now and happen to be sponsored by Nike. As others have noted, they'll sponsor just about anyone. They've got plenty of cash. Watch a DP tour event or even Korn Ferry. Tons of Nike guys.

Key thing though is that I think they just signed Scottie and Nelly to be Brand Ambassadors and not just wearing their clothes. They will send free gear to lots of folks, but i think they signed some solid long term contracts with Scottie and Nelly and can use them in their advertising heavily.

Bailed on Nike years ago when they started backing politicians.

Will give them huge cred for not allowing other sponsors on their golf apparel.
