Seems like every golf club known to mankind squeezed into a pretty tidy package - which might not make sense to people. 

 

I see cues from both Ping and Srixon in the soles. TM and Titleist in the cavity. Callaway in the topline. 

 

Can't say it's the most visually appealing club I've ever seen, but wouldn't be surprised if they hit the ball pretty good.

I guarantee I'm in the minority here, but I like thicker top lines.  Makes the club feel stronger and more forgiving to me (for some reason).

They're fantastic. These easily kicked out my Epons. 

Before buying, originally tested TM, Callaway and PXG equivalents.

These are the replacements for their C05s which were the closest thing to what you could call their “players distance” irons (although they felt a lot better than most clubs in that category) so the top line is a bit thicker (the real thick top line is for their utility irons which hopefully feel better than the first generation)

Hard pass.  Forged by Epon so I guess they would be super expensive.

The C05 are a game improvement type iron.

 

Thinner top lines would be found on their C03 and C01 irons.

Just a btw. Lydia Ko played the original C05s for a while. I definitely wouldn’t classify them as a straight up GI head. I’d say that would be the C07.

Currently playing C05 7-P and C07: 5, 6iron. Bought them during my trip to Japan last year, replacing my PXG Gen5P. 

 

The exchange rate was good. These head were 22000 Yen ~ 140-150 USD at that time. And got 10% tourist tax back, so work out around 125 usd per head. Good deal!

I came across a ProtoConcept P2 wedge head a few months ago, for $25 on ebay.  46.5* loft.  Absolutely love it.  What's nice is I can leave it in the bag, and I've begun building 5-9 iron sets of various brands, often using demo heads as a basis.  Current set in the bag is a TM P760 6 and 7 iron with a P730 8 and 9, and the ProtoC wedge.

I’ve started down the JDM Forged rabbit hole. They lure you in with Srixons, then you find a local set of OnOffs, next you are looking at C03TC/C05TP for your Sunday bag or for the whole set 😅 I have not hit these but did hit the previous gen. You can find them on Buyee for ~$250 USD/iron with a variety of shafts from DG flavors to Fuji Travil (JP spec Axioms if I understand correctly) which is increasingly intriguing me
