Wow, that surprised me, I too was under the impression that she had been playing well.

 

Seems that she was until April and it has been poor since then.

Lexi is playing a blinder with the press and public, announces her retirement from full time golf at season's end, takes all the pressure off herself whilst garnering more eyes-on than ever and so gets to play with reduced pressure and her performances significantly improve.

 

I'm thinking that come to next season, her 'part-time' schedule will only be a couple of events less than this seasons'.

I’m afraid the pressure of trying to make the Olympic team overcame Allison Lee and Megan Khang.  As much as one can talk about putting it out of mind and just playing golf - obviously hard to do!  Ally Ewing hung in pretty well and still has a chance to be the 4th on the US team.

She putted 6 ft 1 in and left with a 2 ft 1 in putt.

The course is obviously rewarding good ballstriking. Put a tee shot in the trees and it'll be (rightfully) penal. 

 

Nice round by Sarah. She's been having a nice season. 

 

Look out for Jin Young, though.

Sahalee is such a great venue for a championship.  It rewards accuracy and punishes bad shots, course management is vital to scoring well.  It should be in rotation for men's US Open imo, at only 7000 yards it would still challenge them.  Why has the PGA stayed away after the 98 PGA?  Is it too penal for bad shots?

I was late tuning in because I had LIV on, and the first time they show Nelly she is at +2.  What in tarnation happened?

A lot of bogeys.  I just tuned in 30 minutes ago and saw her try to advance when she was in the rough, she advanced with a shot that was maybe 6 feet high and was still in the rough when it came down.  She looks like she is feeling down, I know I would probably give up but I don't have the mental abilities of the women playing out there today.
