Havent seen one from Bland either. I'm interested in what shafts he has in his irons.

Sadly this platform is never much interested in Senior or Ladies golf.

Last WITB I saw on Richard Bland was some time ago pre LIV. At the time he was playing a set of Honma Rose Proto blades. That was about the time Justin Rose and Honma parted ways. They had taken a grinder evidently and ground "Rose Proto" off the back.

For you @BIG STU i will make the effort to google-search Richard Bland's WITB! Refer screenshots.

@ashortgame : The golfwrx admins (eg @pga43) have previously explained that it's a cost-vs-benefit issue w.r.t. fewer/ relative lack of WITBs for non-PGA events.

Nevertheless, there are some examples in the past couple years where @pga43 has published LPGA WITBs (can google it ... example screenshot below).

Wonder what Bland found, when he suddenly started becoming a major force on the EU/DP tour. Normally a guy will get a little form peak of a couple of months. But RB wenf from mediocre tour player to top player like bang and he has been stable on that higher level a couple of years now.  New putter or new swing?

Did we ever get to see a WITB for Fujita?  And his bag of Yamahas.

This from around October 2023.

*May not be accurate* 😅

I know he is kind of Scotty hoarder. Those Yamaha irons look sweet!

There were photos here from a recent LIV event.  I believe Greg said that LIV was resistant to allowing the typical WITB photos, and only allowed them for a handful of players. Bland wasn't one of them.

He seems to have got more of that than youngsters Stenson and Poulter, guys with far better merits pre-2021...

His meta morphosis started before LIV. Winning British Masters, then he went from a cut maker to a top 10 guy. Also probably the reason he got a LIV offer.

I can list a few players like that, turned 50 and become world beaters. If you look carefully it's the guys that take care of their bodies. And for some it's like getting a new lease on their golf life and they may see it as a last chance to make a little bank.

I don't know what all the criteria is for a Masters invite.  Frankly, would not be surprised if it is not published.  I went back and tried to see how Bland finished in 2024 at The Masters but he was not in the field I do not think, or I could not find him on the leaderboard.

With these two senior wins, what doors does that open to him?  (LIV ties obviously blocking Champions and the like.)

Bland has never played the Masters.

These major wins won't open doors for him in terms of qualifying for the Masters. Unless he does well in the PGA and US Open next year.

Best case otherwise is a special invitation.

I think Greg said that he was only allowed by the powers that be there to take pics of only 5 bags. He or whomever is in charge at WRX was in the process of negations for the future

I got to follow Bland around at the Nashville event. I was curious to see him play since I'm 53 and he's 51. His game was solid so not surprised he kept it going in the Sr Open. He was playing with Rahm that day and was more than hanging around. No doubt playing with those guys have kept him young. Seems like a great guy so nothing but props to him for what he has accomplished later in his career.

Hopefully the powers that be will give him entry to the British Seniors at Carnoustie this year.

one would think the winner of the US Sr open would receive an invite to THE Open ... as pro PGAT as I am, even I find the omission to be a bit curious ... almost as if THE Sr Open really isn't THE Sr Open anymore ...

Last year Bland and Westwood’s entries were rejected by the R&A due to outstanding DP World Tour fines.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
