Which club company would you choose, if you were on tour

...and had to play a "one company bag"?

I sort of got this idea from "Hypergolf's" "3 company" topic. It made me think really hard about which clubs I would play, if I got paid for it AND if I had to earn my living playing golf. It is a tough decision, because there is always one or two catgeories of clubs by a particular company, which I I don't like.
So, let's begin to dream: Say you are the next prodigy who turns pro and hits the big tour. This is a fantasy to begin with, so let's also say all the companies would offer you exactly the same amount of money, but only under the condition that you use ONLY THEIR equipment, woods, hybrids, irons, wegdes, putters.
Which would you choose?
For me, it would pobably be Ping.
I'd start with the irons, which (according to my personal demoing and playing experiences) would rule out Callaway, Cleveland and Nike. Couldn't play all TaylorMade because of their putters. Same with Cobra. I wouldn't trust Mizuno enough when it comes to their knowledge of woods, same is true for Wilson and Srixon. That would leave Ping and Titleist: Their iron line would probably pull me towards Ping, because I see more options of mixing and matching different models there, like a lot of the Ping staff players actually do. So, that's where I would probably end up.

Cobra. They seem to have all the young guns and a great selection of clubs. Plus I could use Titleist if there was something I didn't like.

 

I have to say Bridgestone sure seems to be coming on strong though.

I say Titleist too without any question. I just hope someone doesn't jump on us Titleist guys like they did with the Titleist count at the Masters thread, haha!!

 

Callaway, amazingly, would be second in line though. They have came a long long way in my mind. The X-Forged irons I still say when looking down on them is one of the best looking irons I have seen!

I'll be the first to say it. I'd have to go NIKE, with Titleist a close second. I think Nike has some of the best technology and a lot of different club options. Their irons are a little weak right now, but the forged blades are some of the best out there. The only real weak spot in their line up are their putters. The unitized are't bad, but they're no Scotty.

One company? I would start with who makes the best equipment (for me) from the putting green and work back to the tee.

 

I would choose Mizuno. Bettinardi putters, great wedges, the best irons, and really good woods. Second would be Titleist, third Cally.

I would say Taylor Made based on how I was treated by them when I was a pro. Second would be Titleist or Mizuno (tie).

Dang - thought I would be the first for Nike. They have it all. Clubs, balls, clothing, footware (ya I know Callaway, Titleist, TM have that too, but I just prefer Nike)

I like supporting the little guy, and have played their clubs for 10 years.

You'll think the weekness is in the putters, but its the strongest part of my game, and I'm using their putter.

Wedges could be a problem, though.

The parent company of srixon own's cleveland now I believe. since a few months ago quicksilver sold cleveland golf.

 

for me titleist. you get pinnacle balls:( j/k, footjoy, wedges, putter,

 

one company that seems to be the new trend, (baddely, sabbatini) is Adams. they must be paying well.

I'd go Ping o´r Titleist.

 

Ping irons are superb, their current line of woods is solid and an Anser is not too bad either. I don't like their wedges all that much. This is were Titleist has an advantage.

Ping or Titleist, but I would probably lean towards Titleist. Titleist is solid all the way through the bag, and you get the PRO V1s, and footjoy shoes and clothing. I give the edge to Titleist because of the wedges and the ball and of course the Scottys, but I could easily go Ping. Guess it just depends on if you want forged irons or not, but you could not go wrong with either one.

Well, Cobra doesn't have wedges, unless you get old ones.

 

I'd probably get Taylormade, or maybe Callaway, or maybe Mizuno...
