Golf ball poll

Lets have a honest poll
What is your golf ball of choice, and your swing speed? Give reason why? Thanks!

My golf ball of choice is Prov1x, swing speed is 125-130mph. Everything is great with this ball just with short irons I spin the ball off the greens alot and that is starting to bug me some, I am injured right now so cant compare any of the new bridgestones, but looking for something else that gives me the same results but with a little less spin...

Won't really help you out much I use a black Prov

Swing Speed around 85-90

Gives me good distance off the tee- taylormade/provx are 5 or so yards longer-

Gives me great control/workability, and great spin on chips/wedges around greens

To me no ball putts better than a Prov, black or red, always have used some type of a Prov...

so yea, there you are.

Swingspeed not sure I trusted the last machine I was on somewhere between 90 and a 100

Currently playing the Taylor Made Red find it plays just like the prov1x

I like that not everyone in my group is playing them and they are a bit cheaper

Most other balls I have tried I have trouble controling the distance with my irons

Haven't had swing speed tested in a couple of years but my total drive is around 270.

I am currently using 3 balls: Titleist ProV1, Srixon Z-URS and the Bridgestone B330S.

These balls are very comparable and I have a hard time differentiating between the 3 except around the green where I prefer the ProV1.

My SS is under 100 and have been playing the TP Red LDP but the course that I have been playing more of lately has fairly firm and fast greens so I will be testing the TP Black LDP tomorrow to see if I can manage a little more bite.

Since this is my first post on this site, I would like to say hi. I am active on another site but it doesn't have a very active membership anymore.

Anyway, I have played just about every ball this year. My SS is right around 115-118. The best for me is still the Pro V1x. I really liked the B-330s but it doesn't have a very durable cover. I also liked the ix but it doesn't have the greenside control I want.

I should mention that I have found the best ball for the money for those casual/practice rounds. Its the Slazenger Black Label. Very good ball, distance is right up there with your average premium ball but where this ball stands out is greenside, it spins like a top. The only thing holding this ball back is the cover. Durability is just ok. FYI, Bridgestone makes this ball as well as Nike. So I am not too surprised to see the cover does not hold up. For whatever reason, Bridgestone doesn't make the most durable covers.

My driver swing speed is about 105. I used to play only ProV1's. I recently went to golfsmith to get some shoes, and one of the guys talked me into getting the new Bridgestone ball B330 RX. I have to say, I'm not sure I'll go back to the ProV1's. I really like this ball. It has the same control around the greens, but I've been hitting it straighter. Not sure how much the ball itself has to do with that, but i hit more fairways the first round with it than I did in the previous few rounds with the ProV1.

The Titleist line of balls is over rated. Hackers use them to just put up appearance. I play with lots of these kinds of players 'cause i play for school. The main reason is, it just makes you look good cause hey, I play the Pro V 1.

I like the TP Red. Cant spin it too much. I dont like throwing the ball to the back of the green and pulling the string. Just pull it back a 'lil. Good distance. 'bout 100 swing speed

My swing speed ranges from 104 t0 108

I use a Rapture V2 with a Rombax

I've used the black ProV1 for years and I never thought I would say this but I've switched balls after several rounds of play with the Callaway ix Tour. What I like about the ball the most is it's durability and feel.

It's a must try!

driver swing speed is about 100

summer golf ball favorites : TP Red or Pro V1 -- both balls feel good off the driver and longer clubs with good spin to the green.

winter : Pinnacle -- good feel and cheap

My preferred ball of choice is the Callaway iX.

However, my favorite balls to use is the free premium balls some hack, who mindlessly buys the most expensive balls on the shelf only to lose 1/2 dozen on the front nine, leaves behind nestled down in the rough about 30 yards short of the green or 50 yards off the front of the tee box.

Ball Srixon Z-urc

Driver SS 102-105

I play because low spin off the driver with good distance, its way more durable than the Pro V, and has the perfect amount of spin for me in the irons and with the short game. I tend to overspin the Prov 1 and nike one platinum.
