Thank you! I appeciate it.

I really like the AB TP 3HL wood and I could see that it would be necessary to upgrade the shaft. Rogue is a very popular upgrade.

And I am in love with the Gray Monte Carlo. Played 3 rounds over the weekend in Florida and I putted very well. Feels great, looks great and not going anywhere!

The hybrid stand bag is bit of cart bag built into a stand bag. TM says it is light and for its size it is, but it has so many pockets, it is easy to make it heavy. I really like the Catalina cart bag, but it is a pain to take to the range. I thought it would be a good compromise. I just load it up too much. The 14 way top is good at keeping the clubs separated and grips from getting tangled..it is just not a replacement of a cart bag and can become pretty heavy for a stand bag.

It's always something special with a putter, huh?! Finding one that suits your eye and then works and feels great...well, that's what we're all looking for!

I can't remember having a putter in my bag for as long as I've had this C/S Spider Mallet. Would've liked a backup in the new color scheme, but they chose not to do a C/S this year. I searched online hoping they'd have one in the Asian market, but no luck there either. I seem to do better with putters with little to no offset.

I asked about the bag because I went to a lightweight Nike bag last year after years of Ogio stand bags. They're awesome but so heavy. That said, my clubs are getting tied up in the Nike and it drives me nuts when I just want to grab putter and wedge and go and almost separate my shoulder because the wedge won't come out. It seems to be the best of all worlds but I hear what you're saying about how easily it can gain weight.

Appreciate the feedback. Keep collecting!! I love living vicariously through your WITB posts!

I don't talk about shoes very often, but these feel great. Just as comfortable as the Adipure from last year, but they don't have the aggressive sole that picks up everything under the sun, including rocks, sticks, leaves and the occasional acorn. Have a black with gray and white with gray on the way. Clearing and out the closet and adding these.

And for you guys that are interested I do have a R15 430 head on the way. But I don't think the range is open with 10 inches of snow on the ground! ?

I love the Boost technology. Had it not been for a generous gift card by my sister in law, my next running shoes would've been Adidas with the Boost tech. And I hear you about last years Adi's. One of my buddies rolls his eye because I'm often standing on the tee box digging out half of the last hole from the cleat 'wells'.

I know, and the shoe brushes do not get them cleaned out. AdiPures and the 360 M1/ATV were all very bad about it. The the channel down the middle of the heel was terrible.

Looking at your WITB, it makes sense why the driver is going but what about the RSI2's?!?!?! Going backward or shifting to something different?

A few updates.

Ghost Black Tour Monte Carlo 33" with Super Stroke grip. Nice feeling putter, the aluminum insert has a really good feel to it. Finish is great looking.

The R Series wedges are beginning to trickle in. The first 2 arrived today, that 47° and the 52°, both in Tour Grind.

Need reviews of those wedges. I almost picked up a set today
What set up? Any ATV?

I will say, from the looks of them, they remind me of a Vokey. Very simple shape, no wing or wide sole. Almost going back to the Z TP wedge. Not as bulky as the ATV from 2 years ago and even skinnier than last year's.

Full report tomorrow for sure.

The wedges really offer great spin. Enough to be noticeable, even over last year's wedges. I am getting use to a blade pitching wedge again. Been a very long time, had cavity backs since the R7 TP days. And also TM didn't always offer a 47* for retail. So, distance control has been iffy. At best. The 52* has been great and was easier since I carried a 52/56/60 set up for many years.

These do feel harder off the face than last year's Tour Preferred. Maybe even a "click" when you pick a ball cleanly. But, nothing that is terrible or too harsh.

The finish seems to be holding up nice. No obvious wear is showing yet. It will be something that I watch for.

Waiting on the 56/60 w/ATV Grind to arrive. Very happy with them, so far. Probably have the put some Modus shafts in soon...

The best way is to use a shim. Different sizes for different applications. They will look something like this and can be purchased at any golf repair shop.

Gentlemen the EF wedge project can only be called a success. I replaced my PW with a 47* EF wedge. These only come with Tour Grind. I find this to be really easy to hit off any lie. Great for chipping around the greens and from the fringe. Easier than the standard pitching wedge from the set (RSi 2) less bounce and smaller profile I think. The 52, also Tour Grind and the 56/60, both ATV Grind are a better fit for my "trouble yardages" of 100 and 75 yards. Last year's 50/54/58 seemed I was always take something off. Less of that with these, so far.

And I "Tiger Stepped" my wedge shafts. My irons have Nippon Modus 120s shafts so, I went to 8 iron shafts in 130 S and then butt trimmed to length. So far so good with these also. Really get good feel out of sand and rough too.

Ed.....did you ever hit the rsi2 AW? I'm considering adding it to my MC's and an ef 58* atv....
I did and it is really good. It has a bit wider sole on it and is a cavity back and 50*. I had the AW for my CB's from last year. I just seem to hit cleaner shots with the EF wedges as a PW and AW. But, I am sure the honeymoon will wear off soon!! :-)

Now that your season is under way how are the Boosts holding up as far as wear and tear and cleanliness?

Really easy. A damp cloth and they clean right up. No real loss of traction. But, doesn't pick up everything you walk on. Very comfortable. Haven't polished them and they really look like new. The soles are a bit dirty. But, not terrible.

 • 2 weeks later...

I know that true golfers walk and carry their bags. But, some of us are lazy and just like ride around in carts!! I have a couple nice stand bags for the range and those few walking rounds. A good cart bag for me is a must. Room for stuff and with easy access to those pockets. The TM Catalina bag has been a good design for several years now. Pockets galore and now with an integrated cart strap(so your buddies can't undo your bag strap and drop your clubs on the cart path on the next start up). Plenty of colors, mine is understated Black with Red piping. 14 way top with umbrella and putter well. If you need more space than this for your clubs and "stuff" you have a problem!!

Played a couple times this week. And I have to say the EF wedge project has worked out so well. As you know I changed out my sets pw(45*) and put in a 47 Tour Grind EF wedge. I did this thinking it would help me around the greens and help with all of me troubles 110 and in. Then going to 52, 56 and 60 would give me more options. I also dedicated more pitching and chipping and partial wedge practice. Haven't practiced with anything over a 8 iron for 3 weeks now, except a half a bucket to warm up for a round. Not saying I have hit on anything fantastic. I just feel comfortable throughly the bag and am not wanting it to end!
