Had one of my best putting 9's ever today. The Ghost Tour Black Daytona was on fire during my round at my home course, Otter Creek. Playing the old front 9, what is now known as the North 9, I needed only 10 putts! And the one I missed, was a lip out. No chip ins or hole outs.

The first couple of holes were short putts that resulted from good chips. I ended up making a few from around 20 feet, but most were in the 10-12" range.

Our second 9, the old back 9 or West 9 now, I still putted well, but took 15 strokes. Still 25 putts is almost 7 strokes lower than 2015 average!

Been a long time since I putted that well with a blade. I have been a mallet putter for the last few years and never had a 9 like that with a mallet.

A good view of the stepless shiny grayish black shaft. Looks like a match to the shiny sole finish of the Ghost Tour Black putter line.

Okay, quick update and then a tease!!

Picked up a TM UDI #3 from cheap off of eBay. Have a Modus 120 S ready to go in. I think I am going to soft step the 2 UDI's (3, 4) and my RSi 5 iron. Hopefully the weather stays nice and I can test it out.

Now for the tease...may have something very special coming after first of the year!! You guys will be some of the first to know!! Stay tuned!

Picked up a M1 rescue, 3h 19*. Swapped out the Speeder 869 TS from the R15 and now I am happy! ?

How are u finding the driving iron and rescue.. I love Taylormade. Currently go 6-Pw in RSI 1's. Have a aeroburner hybrid to replace my 4/5 iron but I don't use it much. Have a 21° Adams XTD ti hybrid which I use instead of long irons most of the time. I'm considering getting a driving iron myself

I started with the #4/23° a year ago when they came out. And I hit it better than I did the RSi2 4iron it replaced. It is wonderful off the tee on a short Par 4 or longer Par 3. I can hit it from the fairway okay. Hybrid is better out of any type of rough. It is certainly a situational club for me. I recently picked up the #3 and will see how I like it. I probably my hybrid more than the 2 UDI combined, but the wedge I pulled out was used even less.

 

You can find UDI on eBay for $65-70. Or you could find someplace to demo one.

And they are going right in the suitcase.

 

Seriously, for me, very comfortable out of the box. No real problem spots or pinching. And yet these are stiffer, with more structure than last year's Boost.

I really liked the Boost from last year, but as the season went on I thought that it would be even better if the shoe had remain a little firmer.

 

I have had plenty of the Tour 360 shoes over the years and really like the comfort. I didn't like how the they picked up almost everything you walked on. Leaves, sticks and acorns. I hated that part. So the grip more sole was good for me for that reason.

 

Hope these hold up better, structure wise and don't get 5 pounds of junk in the spikes.

Thanks guys for all the kind remarks. That is why we post pictures! To get comments and questions.

 

My experience with the Tour360 Boost was wonderful! I had one blister and I really think is was more sock related than shoe. They have been very comfortable out of the box and have only gotten better the more I wear them. Unfortunately, I did get to try out the waterproofing and they passed very well. But I haven't had a problem with past Adidas shoes in this area. Your experience may vary. Not sure what issues others have. We played in the rain and my socks did not get all soggy. And this was after my sock problem.

 

I also think the Boost material will stay whiter this year. These cleaned up pretty well after the rain round. This will be nice if true. I clean/polish my shoes after most rounds. These will polish up better also. The uppers are a different material and much more receptive to polish. Last year's model was not real receptive to creme polish and so I used the bottle/sponge type polish. It is like using Krylon spray can on your Vette but that is what worked.

 

I like the structured feel of these shoes and they look great in shorts or long pants.

Okay, may have broken a few traffic laws on the way home!! FedEx delivered it, I opened it!!

 

First off, Toulon Design knows how to ship a putter. Outer shipping box, inner display box. The putter is suspended between styrofoam and very well protected. Accessories boxes contain First Run hat, and the other, a First Run head cover. The handwritten note is a great personal touch!

Also picked up a set of RSi TP irons. 5-9 iron going straight in the bag. First round with them was great. Not sure what all the complaints about sound and vibration is all about. Clubs felt great!

Pictures do not do it justice. Gorgeous putter. It feel perfectly balanced and the sound is good. Really puts a good, tight roll on the ball. Very pleased with it so far.

 

If you get a chance to roll one of their models, I think you would say the same thing.

I hit it okay nothing really special. Haha! The only hybrid I have every hit well are the SLDR 3/5 that were mistakenly built with Project X steel shafts. Sounds crazy but may go back to them, if this M1 doesn't work out. I think it will though. The good shots are great. But I am not consistent with it. Yet!

I apologize for not giving a full review of this putter. I guess I'm not surprised that I putt very well with it. It's not that much different than what I've used over the last six months or so in shape and in overall length. I am surprised, pleasantly, that I've adjusted to the weight and feel so quickly. The first thing I noticed when I picked up either one of the Toulon putters that I have, is that they just feel very balanced in your hand. Not too heavy and not to light, just a great overall sense of balance.

 

The roll is like nothing I have experienced before. I've putted with insert putters that have great roll but no feel. And likewise I've putted with a non-insert putters that has tremendous feel but the ball skidded for 5 feet. None of that with this putter. And because of that consistent roll and feel, my distance control has been spot on.

 

I know that this putter is more than some of you want to spend. That's fine, there are plenty of putters to choose from. But if you are looking for something more custom or more unique, compare this putter before you buy.

I don't think it will wear. It should stay pretty much the same as new. I do wipe it off after ever hole before I put the head cover on. So, I might not be the best "tester" of the finish

Nippon Modus 105 S 5-SW on the way. Probably will soft step them 1 time. Really liked the Modus 120 S. Had them soft stepped in the 4 and 5 irons. Lighter should gain me some Clubhead speed.
