Tons of pictures!!

Here are a few pics I took earlier in the year. Champions Retreat is one of the nicest and coolest courses anywhere. The course is 27 holes. Course is designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player who each have their respective nine hole courses to make a wonderful 27 hole layout.

I have no connection to get on Sage Valley so I can't say which is more difficult. I don't find Champions Retreat all that hard though. Its pretty open off the tee for the most part. Greens are fast and true with no surprises. Course is in tip top shape which always seems to bring out the best in me.

Funny, I don't have connection to get on Champions Retreat.
How about compare to River Club or Bartram?
I know Bartram green rolls true and very little break, I like to play there too.

I'd be more than happy to let Sage kick my a** anytime. The first time I played Champions I shot +1 for the 27 holes. Everything is right in front of you with no tricks. Awesome layout, great condition... They have coolers set of on every couple of holes with bottled water and fresh apples. Its a much better course than River club or Bartram. It has bent grass greens same as both of those but they seem to have a firmer base and roll a bit quicker. Fairways are perfect and the course drains well unlike The River club.

I've never had a problem getting on at Champions Retreat, I've played it three times now. I will certainly let you know next time we set up a tee time out there. We almost always have an open spot because we like to fill an entire foursome when we play it. And I am willing to drop everything I'm doing to play Sage, any day and time, just let me know... lol

This place is an amazing golf facility and has a phenomenal staff! I got to play the GA Section PGA Pro-Assistant there this year and had a blast. We stayed right on the property in a cabin on the 9th hole of the Player Nine. I can't wait to get back

Thanks for the pics! I wonder what their secret is for the selective watering - making the fairways lush and the rough dry and natural looking. The edges are so sharp it looks like they must lay down huge tarps when they water to make sure nothing gets water that isn't supposed to!

Looks little different this fall. The bluff(nickaluas) nine was NOT overseeded this yr. Also the Creek and Island was not overseeded as heavy. They had some issue this summer with the collars not coming back. They had to replace several of the collars. It has been VERY VERY wet this fall. Greens are really good but still ahve a lot of water in them from all the rains. the island nine had a lot of flooding the past week due to all the water being let out of the lake.

great course and great place. I enjoy it every time I go out.

I have played there several times. Great track. We do a trip there every spring for 4 days. Stay on the property. Very nice.

Does CR allow any reciprocal play from members of other private clubs? I know better than to ask that about Sage Valley. Both look/sound outstanding.

I dont believe so.. they arent affiliated with a company based membership type program.. verrrrrryyy private. im a college golfer and live within 3 miles of it and have never played it. lol I need better friends too i guess ha

We are heading back to Champions the 2 weeks before the masters. We have a couple of other course we are playing on the way up. Champions is one of my favorite golf trips.

As long as the weather is good, the course will be perfect. They are aerifying Monday and tueday of next week, so greens should be good by the time you get there. Im sure I will see you there since im there every weekend.

How is Champions condition wise? I will be there this weekend. Playing both Sat and Sun. Three days of golf. It can't start soon enough.
