Big Break Sandals Resorts - summer 2010

I am absolutely opposed to this so called new twist of letting the contestents "decide" who goes and who stays. The one thing that has always seperated the big break from all the other miriad of "reality" shows on television is how you make the shot you get to stay. All the popularity and in- fighting and politicing you see on other shows has not been there until now. In my opinion let the golf make the call--- stepping up and making the cut with a single shot is tough enough.

Getting "sent" doesn't mean a death sentence. The player still has a chance to fight their way out of the elimination round. The only draw back is the potential for a player who is less skilled to hang around longer simply because they aren't ever going to get sent. However, in past episodes, it seems there is always one player that gets on everyone's nerves and this would be a great way to get that player out of the game.

Agreed, so far. But going to give her a chance. We've all seen the effects of "creative editing" on the show before. Although in this case i don't think it's far off.

Another one I am going to give some time. He already is better than the last guy (Olin Brown I think?) to me. Partly the accent I think, but he seems OK to me. Does a decent job on the LPGA events anyway. Stephanie as usual doing a great job, way better than Stina...[/size]

Agreed. The approach shot was basically a wedge also, would have like to have seen some longer irons, 6 or 7 iron at least. And a longer putt also...at least 12-15 foot or so. Maybe they were taking it easy for the first show, who knows...[/size]

+1, I hope they never bring Stina back to host another one and was she the wicked wench of the west or what on that "next greatest golf invention" or what ever it was called.

they should have a challenge where stephanie sparks sets "par" or the threshold that they have to surpass. kind of like that episode where jb holmes came out for 3 seconds and he hit 1 wedge shot. (now that i think about it, he had no problem stepping up and hitting just one shot) from what i remember, sparks is a pretty good player and i think it would be a fair challenge.

How come the BB's with men can be fun, interesting and competitive without the T&A factor? And the women always have to resort to the T&A factor?

Maybe what surprises me more is this is on GC rather than "Spike TV" or something.

IDK, I watch GC for golf.... and that's it. If it gets to be much more about catfights and bra sizes I'll probably shut it off.

Nitties finished T-2 in the 2009 Q-school to get his card. Matt Every made it to the PGA Tour with a 10th place money list finish on the Nationwide Tour last year, including a win in the Tour Championship. Tommy Gainey is currently #2 on the Nationwide tour money list with 1 win and 3 top 10's in 12 events.

I'd say they are all 3 pretty successful. I'm sure there are more, those are just the 3 that popped into my head when I read your question.

Yeah, she's my fave to look at but her laugh is GD annoying. Just shut the trap and look good. The shot of her on the couch napping was priceless. I like how her ears stick out of her hat, very cute.

It sure seemed like all the girls were rooting against here, and I couldn't figure out why... something off camera I guess. Maybe the age difference, or the whole "fanning" comment which I suspect was said in jest but Sara kinda ran wild with it. But then the parting comment was tacky and most likely explains why they were rooting against her, if she acted like that the whole time... who knows. Maybe there will be something in the blog.

I predict they will gang up on Carling next...

Carling is my favorite, though I'm sure they will all gang up on her since she is care free and has game. Not to mention super cute. Kelly deserved to go home though, when the host says "what a choke" it's time to leave. And 207 with the driver R U kidding me? Was anyone else thinking to themselves "Gee I hit 4-5 iron that far".
