Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the Southern Oregon coast gets my vote. I believe that all three course are rated in the top 100. This IS the ULTIMATE playing experience. All three courses are adjacent to each other, but they are completely different in design styles. I can die now and say that I have experienced the best practice facility.

OK it's 10 mos since my last post...and I played a real killer two weeks ago. The Legacy in Bradenton FL. Zoiks! My friend and I went to scope it out as our association sectional will be played there. We got our ..well you know...handed to us!! 9 holes of nightmarish split fairway links...and 9 holes of narrow fairway palmetto florida STUFF. And yes, as the sicko addicted golfer I am...I cant WAIT to go back and try it again! Now that I know where I'm going and all....http://www.legacygolfclub.com/

7067 73.8 from the back tees. Beautful course (a Troon Course), perfect (fast) greens. Lovely clubhouse...good food etc.

The Gary Player Course in Sun City, South Africa was a beautiful, difficult, great golf course. TPC Sawgrass was brutally hard but awesome!!

Chicago Golf Club.....

 

I caddy there in the summer, and the place is absolutely immaculate. Only 150 members.....treated like royalty. Last year each member paid $4000 more so they could have the bunkers hand raked. Greens are the best part of the course, I've never seen an old ball mark...unbelievably true. Hopefully one day I can get in there! :goirish:

for sure augusta, i got to play it 3 months ago with my dad, and a good freind of mine, my age, and a good freind of my dad's. it was possibly the coolest thing i have ever and will ever do, the greens were hard as hell, but that made it so much fun, it was a time ill never forget.

also, i play at old north state club in NC and Carmel Country Club in NC Charlotte, members at both, they are both realy nice.

Really beautiful course. great condition. awesome views. knowing that you are playing where every guy on the PGA tour has played is really awesome. However one guy hit my ball when it was in the fairway. Played a cut go get some extra distance from the slope and ended up getting a ton of roll. The guy hit my

Prov1 and he left me with a bridgestone E5. That really ticked me off but I confronted him and he gave me my ball back at the next hole.

The best course I´ve played is Santo da Serra which is located on Madeira, Portugal. Last week´s European Tour tournament was played there and has been so for the last 15 years. Awesome course with great views! :clapping:

The K Club, the belfrey and the Old Cours St Andrews, i pushed my second shot and then sunk a 35 footer for birdie at the 18th. Pushed my shot because i thought don't lose it right and hit the Russaks hotel lol.

Chambers bay in washington is the best course I have played. When the wind is blowing it is just brutal.

If there are any baseball fans on this blog who are going to visit cooperstown, trust me, the golf is just as good at leatherstocking at the Otesaga just outside of the town. The views are absolutley incredible. not the toughest course around 6500 yards, but it is up and down the entire 18. Great golf course.

ASU Karsten Golf Course simply because I got to play a round with 2 members of the Arizona State Golf Team which was a phenomenal experience since that is where I want to attend school.

I really like either the tpc at deere run, or a new jack nicklaus course down in naples, florida called Old Corkscrew. Both are great courses, helluva challenge too.

Private: Augusta National, GA (8 years ago)

Brutalist: Ocean Course, Kiawah Island SC (two months following Rider Cup)

Public: Cateechee Golf Course, Hartwell GA

 

I have played many but these three bring back fond and chilling memoraries, as well as pure beauty.

I guess this'll sound a little far fetched for you guys but, the San Roque New Course in Spain, played it just about a week after the spanish open was played there and the conditions were said to have been even better than during the tournament. It was crazy, and such a beautiful view off every tee. A great experience, and the scoring worked too ;).
