I've picked up some excellent buys from Ebay over the years...the first was an R510 DF 8.5, back when they were just becoming known on the boards, for $199 BIN. About six months later I bought an R580XD TP for less than $250, which I sold within a week for almost $900 on one of the other boards.

 

A couple of years ago I picked up a brand new 652 Speeder for less than $90. I've had a few good buys at local golf shops as well...R7 TP TXXXX 8.5 at Second Swing as they were going belly up for $125.

 

But I think I scored one of the best deals ever over the weekend at Golf Galaxy: an Adams Ovation Tour Plus 4060 with an NV 75S, 42.5" at D-5 swingweight for (this is not a typo) $24. Twenty four dollars. The club was almost brand new.

Best deal for me to date is a recently won auction for a new (shrink wrapped) 21 degree Bridgestone Airmuscle, $29.50 shipped...

 

I know these are going pretty cheap currently, still, thought I did ok there.

 

Well, going backwards, I just caught someones post above me (same price), guess we both made out... What a great club BTW, similar to the old Tour Preferred 1, 2, and 3, irons, though those were cast, albeit a thin top line.

 

Even with the thick top line on the airmuscle, what a beaut, and easy to hit...

with Aldila NV MLTI Pro Shafts 3- pw, They were in the original box

marked samples. I paid 575.00 on a buy it now. I guess a Mizuno dealer

or Touring pro got them for free and just wanted some fast cash.

 

Lucky me.

 

3 balls golf is a great ebayer. they sell lots af great brands at great prices.

 

Look for anything listed as excellent or Like new condition.

 

I swear I have bought equipment from them that looks brand new at

50% or less of retail.

All my Ping irons' set (3 sets) were great deals. In fact, 95% of my golf transactions’ were extremely satisfied, at least 25% off price compare to articles here in Quebec (even with shipping and currency $$$). The worst experience: not only duties, but brokerage fees from UPS!!! I had to pay 70$ (CAN) for articles I paid 145$ (US)!!! :) :D ;) ;) :D :D :drinks:

 

Still, my last 'activity' today: Ping Rapture driver 10.5* VS Proto Stiff shaft :clapping: :crazy:

 

And I sold some, found this experience a little bit expensive with E-Bay & PayPal fees... But I'll sell some in the next weeks anyway :clapping: I need to shorten my signature :)

Pretty good, took care of my driver problem and 3/4 Wood problem for under $150.

Has to be a Scotty Cameron Newport , for $40 that was in such a state , when I got it , the seller had tried to do his own stampings & tour dots & tried to 'fill' the blemishes with cataloy ' you know the stuff that car repair shops use to fill dents , holes etc. a hellish mess !!!!!!!!!

Took so long for me to get it that the seller refunded me $20 for inconvienience .

Sent it off to Tom Slighter had it welded , ground , stamped , dotted , milled ,3x blackened & shafted up with a UST freq filtered .

A steal in my eyes .
