Can we expect titleist to release a yellow prov1 or is it just a market for srixon and bridgestone ?

Bridgestone has yellow balls?

titleist is all about the pros and good am golfers...how many US am's and pga tour players use a yellow ball? and why is titleist the #1 ball in golf? its not because its yellow
Maybe more would play a yellow ball if there were more premium options, like the Pro V.

Let's hope not. If they do we will probably see someone win a major with a yellow ball and a belly, or broomstick, putter. Talk about an unfair advantage. Where is the integrity of the game going.

OH Wait, it is just a game isn't it?

I thought Jerry Pate won the US Open with a yellow ball?

First of all, any company is the #1 in something on tour because they pay to be through endorsements and Titleist is no different.

I did see a thread on yellow DT Solo's but they were never released in the US. Keep in mind that ZStar's and B330RX are the only yellow urethane balls and that no other companies have jumped on the bandwagon since. The ProV1 franchise is still the highest selling urethane ball by a huge margin, why change that and risk hurting the brands image? I do agree that offering yellow for the NXT Series is a great idea.

Bridgestone doesn't do their premium balls in colors, just the middle level balls. I could see Titleist making yellow NXT's etc, but not yellow ProV1's. Hope not anyway.

Bridgestone B300-RX is available in yellow and is not a mid-level ball.

I think yellow balls are actually not very popular. I am a low handicap ameteur and I love the yellow Srixon Z-star. I like them even better now because the chain stores are blowing out their inventories of them for as low as $19 a dozen. Sure beats the $45 a dozen I used to pay for them. If they were a successful product the stores would not be discounting them heavily like this to dump the inventory.

2 years ago I lost a ball in the rough that should have been found durring our club championchip. I knew exactly where it went in a wide open area left of the green. The rough was not particularly long but for whatever reason I could not find it and I ended up having to take a drop. The situation made me miss the cut. I found the ball the following morning exactly where I thought it would be.

Ever since then I have been playing the yellow Srixon. I always think back to that day how I definately would have found that ball if it had been a yellow srixon. You only have to find one ball in a tournament that would have otherwize been lost for it to be worthwhile.

PS: To those who worry about what others will think if you play a yellow ball.......Forget it. Let your play do the talking and just think how embarrassed your friends will be when you beat them playing a yellow ball.

The cheap ones are likely last year's model and that's why they are trying to get rid of them.

There is no doubt that the yellow srixons are easier to see. They are not just yellow....they are day-glow yellow!!!
Agreed

When you're out there on a dewy morning with the sun glistening off all the dew, the yellow is MUCH easier to see in the wet rough.

Yellow is so much easier to see, especially when there is glare or you are looking into the sun. I can't remember how many times I play a white ball and think (as I am searching for it) that if it was yellow I would have already found it! Will play the Srixon Z-Star until they stop making them in yellow.

I heard that Titleist is making a clear golf ball. See the pic below....isn't it cool?

They ARE easier to see.

I have less of those "my ball should be just in or around here somewhere" holes since switching.

I too would play a ProV, since most golf courses are littered with them.
