I agree that the Covert has a better flight, I might be in the market for woods in the next few months. Want to see what Nike/TMAG/Callaway offer for 2014.

It's the only hybrid i'd look at if i had to get one. Nice small head and doesn't launch to the moon. I put a 105g aldila nv green in it and it was a cannon. The vrs is also worth a look as it's slightly bigger and hotter.

I'll bring my vrs back out in the winter as the 2 iron won't roll out much. It's like a mini 5 wood

I think Miura irons, look better, feel as good and are higher quality than any major OEM irons on the market. Given those considerations I understand the love that they get. I think some people consider them to be ultra elite like the Louis Vuitton of golf given their past reputation of being the original JDM and rumors of them making clubs for US OEM's. They are not the super iron that some make them out to be, but they are pretty damn good clubs.

To me it does, it can make a big difference. I have seen it first hand on a SAM and on the course.

Thanks for the heads up that its the same. I am going to keep my eye out for one, if I can get a descent price I will probably pull the trigger.

Although I was rolling the TMAG counterbalance mallet and that thing is money. Makes me want to get a 35" Golo and have the butt counter weighted by tour lock.

I have an extra 8.2x TS that I'm planning on throwing into my 913fd 15*. Do you feel the 1 inch tipping is just enough or if you could do it again less/more?

1" is perfect, it plays more like .5 tipping because the Surefit requires .5 to play true to flex.

Funny that you say that... I have owned and played more Ping woods probably than anything else. From HS to mid 20's I think I owned every single Ping offering from the Ping Eye 2 Persimmon to the Rapture V1. I also played the i15 and Rapture V2 for a while. To this day the TiSi Titanium is on my very short list of all time favorites.

I want to see the I25 before I form any opinions of woods in 2014.

Pretty sure that the D2 and FD will be gone. I have not been hitting my driver well at all of late and after an experience that I had yesterday with a SLDR/DI combo the wheels are turning.

My last two rounds the FD cost me strokes each round. One of them I had 247 carry front edge. Hit a pretty good FD off the deck and it came off a little low, perfect line towards the flag, hits the bank 2 yards short and bounces back into the water. Next round the pin was in the back had 262 to the flag. Crushed the FD with a high soft fade, thought it was all over the flag. Lands 5 yards short of the green. I drop another ball and hit my buddies Stage 2 with a stock Matrix, Ball lands center green and released to about 10 feet short of the flag.

Regarding irons I really am leaning S55 at this time as I have strong sense that the AP2's are going to be too high of spin for me as every other AP2 head in the past has been, I am interested in hearing your thoughts between the two.

Ball speed wise? I would actually say I've seen a number of players get very similar ball speed from the F-d to the XHP and Stage 2 fairways. I've got several demos with DI-7, Tour Specs that the high speed guys can get up there with... I feel like the F isn't quite as hot though.

Admittedly, I'm going off range time and feel, rather than outdoor trackman #'s to back it up. I have always loved the look of Titleist woods, they just don't work for me like TMs offerings. However, I have never hit one with a DI (or DJ for that matter), so perhaps it's more of a shaft issue. Diamana's and I don't get along.

Ruthless! I agree that the X Hot and Stage 2 are both hotter off the face. I am holding out for some of the newer stuff to come out.
