Please specify the SW that you want and Nike will add weight to the head for that SW.

You would probably have better luck ordering it through a local fitter or store than the website. Although maybe they do phone orders at Nike. They have a 1-800 number.....give them a call.

I'm ordering a 45" driver at D3 as well and my local fitter will take care of all the specs.

i wonder if i can just walk into my local shop and buy the performance head with the shaft from the tour model or if i would have to specially order it through Nike. For the 913s, the Roger Dunn i usually vist was pretty cool about letting me pick the 913 head and shaft from the rack.

The GG and GS by me do not allow you to swipe shafts or heads. That would be cool if Roger Dunns would let you do that though.

0,75"=4.5 SW-points=9gr

If Nike hotmelts the head I see problems, esp. in a hot trunk.

Ajustable weights are the much better solution.

If Nike uses hotmelt, the Convert is not my cup of tea.

And besides, to sell a Convert Tour in stock length of 45,75 is a nonsens. But offering a ajustable driver without ajustable weights is a mega-nonsens.

My GG let me do it with my 913, but that's mainly because they know me and how much I "shop" there.. It's sort of a no no, because each head and shaft have matching serial numbers. If you swap them around Titleist can void the warranty.

I doubt it because they are different price points (unlike the 913 d2/d3 swap). You are now left with a Tour head and a Performance shaft that does not equal the price of a Tour club. They might let you swap them and then just order a replacement head and shaft from Nike to replace those bought, but doubtful.

I stopped by Golfsmtih today and got a chance to hit the Covert Performance driver. Wow is all I can say, I hit about 50 balls and I averaged 13deg launch, 2300rpm, 295 yards. The dispersion was fantastic, the most offline I had was 10 yards. The feel is incredible. I hit it with the Kuro Kage silver which is supposed to be in the Tour head. I hit it against my 910D2 and was much better. I thought I would hate the red, but it looks really cool. Try the driver, it's amazing.

44" is probably too far outside the limits of what they can adjust with hot melt in the head. That would be 1.75" shorter and about 10 SW points difference!

The stock lenght of the Covert´s is too long and it seems Nike has no heavier weights to ajust the SW.

And beware, store your hotmelted driver always in a cool place.

does anyone know on average how much longer custom orders take? i called nike and she said about 10 days...now is that 10 days from the release date or if i pre-order is there a chance they build it earlier and have it shipped out nearer the release date?

did you get to hit the Tour head and any comparsions between the 2 (numbers wise). Obviously the size difference is a big deciding factor but I want to see much lower spin the Tour is compared to the Performance head

Should be 10 days from the release date. I ordered basically the same thing you're looking at for a customer and they said it would ship just after the pre-book orders.

Yes, I hit the tour head with the same silver shaft, the numbers for me were virtually the same, but the dispersion was wider. I also liked the feel of the performance head better. I think the silver shaft makes the difference, I hit the black shaft and it was too much spin.

I know what it would be. I don't really care. I'm tired of these companies putting out drivers that are 2" too long. I should be able to order a 44" driver with a D3 SW.

awesome thanks for the reply. I'm gunna be down in Cali from feb 19-26 so hopefully it'll reach there in time for me to bring it back. worst case scenario I'll get my cousin to ship it back if I do miss it.
