Yup! It is so effective that apparently, there are no tour only versions of the covert. All players are playing the flexloft system.

Rumor has it that there are multiple R1 versions, each with multiple starting loft configurations, so that when the loft is adjusted, the face angle is to the players liking.

i was so amazed when i demo'd th CTour...adjusted from 8.5 'open' to 12.5 'open' and it's the exact same face angle. And itactually looks like an 8.5 and 12.5 to teh eye at address too. Really awesome. I play a 10,5 VR Ltd.

Thanks Golfoholic, no my sleeve didn't change color, but I suspect that might have happened because you might have used a little too much heat to get the epoxy to loosen? When we did it, we did not use that much heat in an effort to preserve the ferrule, so we used very little heat but once it got a little warm, wrapped the tip with a towel, then used a pair of pliers and all the arm strength we could to get it off with low heat.

Huge fan of this driver. In fact it will be first driver this year that I give the dubious honor of knocking the Wishon out of the bag. With that being said, doesnt the titleist adapters adjust loft and face angle independently?

I 'm curious guys. I got my GOLF magazine yesterday, the DRIVER ISSUE, and the testing was done by Hot Stix. For the Tour model, they say "faster swings will see distance gain due to the reduction in spin". What is "faster"? I have an avaerge club head speed of 94 mph, what I would consider moderate. Also, I saw both heads today and I LOVE them. Even the 460 doesn't look that big. It really looks on the small size. Especially compared to the G25. Wow, that head is huge. Anyway, I won't be able to hit these for a couple of weeks and I just wanted some basic input. Really want the Tour head as I normally hit the center of the face anyway. 44.5 so I think I'll have to special order to get the swingweight right. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

Most definitely not. The titleist system is similar to all the others, aside from nike

I'm going to a demo with Nike's rep on Sunday at my local shop. I cannot wait to hit this thing! Club fitter at this shop was telling me a few weeks ago he got his and the thing is longer than anything he's hit so far. I have one question for you guys in the meantime.

How light is the Kuro Kage 50? Compared to the NV 65 in my R11 I'm just curious if its a huge difference.

Driver came in but no one was home to sign for it. Now I may have to wait until Monday to get it, but I did request that it be sent to a FedEx location for pickup tomorrow.

I talked to Nike's custom dept today after digging through the 2013 custom club book. Nike will add an adaptor to a shaft you send them if you have a new shaft that has yet to be tipped in any way. Good news for me since I have a brand new Ahina sitting at the house.

Suggested retail for the service is $129 according to the custom club book. Includes installation of the ferrule, adaptor, a Nike stock grip offering, and return freight.

I played my performance model yesterday. I liked it, it was my first rd in 6 months so I can't really say I used the driver to its max potential, plus my right wrist hurt(getting old). The main thing is the shaft was too long. If I trim the shaft down, can I just put some lead tape in the cavity to get the swing weight I want rather then getting it hot melted?

Absolutely. Lead tape has been used to swingweight for a very long time...

I'm not a club maker or anything, but wouldn't that move weight away from the face, which then defeats the purpose of the cavity? Wouldn't spin rate go up? Seems to me that's why Nike wants to do any hot melt as a special order request.

Plus, a few grams is not enough weight to change the launch conditions materially.

Also, weight towards the face decreases spin.

Ping's said no to the request for nearly a year, at least for Canadian customers.

Titleist will only do it so far as their weight kit allowes for standard orders.

Finally Got my GD tour ad di 7x installed on my covert tour driver and put it on the course today. Absolutely awesome!!! Not a low ball flight at all for me like everyone was saying. Had a nice mid/high ball flight. Definitely noticed the low ball spin with this driver also, seemed like every drive had tons of roll. Very easy to control and also was very consistent. Had a lot of confidence in it today. Average drive for the day was right around 300. This thing will definitely be in the bag for a long time.
