Do you wear a watch?

Nope no watch don't like the feeling on the wrist and I don't want to be reminded of any sense of time, on the course it's just the game.

Im a big watch guy. Have alot of them... So I ALWAYS have one one unless Im playing golf or having...... Just can not play with one on.

No watch or ring, in fact, I only wear a loin cloth. I find any unnecessary binding or weight constricts the absolute perfection that is my golf swing.

I track the sun throughout the day so don't have any need for a watch.

I'm a watch enthusiast. I own a bunch of mechanicals, and autos, but don't wear them on the course. For playing golf I prefer something very light and I prefer something on a rubber strap, because with rubber, you don't have to get it too tight to prevent a lot of movement.

 

I have a Luminox and a Victorinox that fit the bill but I just snagged this for $18 to throw in my bag and wear without care:

I have a nice watch so I don't want to mess up the mechanics with repeated shocks over time. I also found that I eitehr have to wear it rather tightly or the crown impacts the back of my hand on the followthrough. Easier to just take it off.

I don't wear my watch or wedding ring, and only carry 1 tee, divot tool, a silver dollar ball marker, and a flat ball marker in my right pocket. Nothing in all other pockets... So, you're not unusual... Golfers tend to have superstitions... :D

Don't like wearing any kind of jewelry anymore. Like to feel as light as possible. :D

I wear a watch at all times, golf being no exception, and my watches are a little on the big side, one being a Seamaster Professional and the other being a Superocean Steelfish.

I rarely ever take my watch off. I even wear it in the shower. I also have a stainless and gold bracelet that I wear on my right arm. Same goes for it. Wear it all the time. Neither bother me when I am playing golf.

I never wear a watch because I have like the skinniest wrist on earth and it's to much trouble getting one to fit me.

 

+1 from me. On top of that, I am retired and what's time to an old toot? The main thing I might need a watch for is to estimate how much time I have left. That's depressing. So I don't.

I have been told that playing golf with an automatic mechanical chronometre is very bad for the movement inside the time piece.

I have an automatic chronometre that I wear for almost every part of my day other than on the golf course for this very reason.

I do however play with a ring that my fiancee gave me which has a nice inscription and as it will not be damaged whilst playing golf or for any other activity for that matter I do not take it off.

I used to wear a magnetic bracelet whilst playing golf, but as I don't want to look like I am "dripping with jewelery" I choose not to wear it any more.

Playing with it on doesn't change my game, but I'm not going to destroy a $5k wrist-watch just to be able to wear it playing golf!

For me it depends on the watch. I have a nice diver's watch in stainless steel, it's heavy and since it's a bracelet band, it slides down my wrist a bit and feels like it constricts my wrist hinge. Can't stand it. I also have a tech watch with a rubber wristband, it's a lot lighter and doesn't move around and doesn't bother me at all to wear golfing.

Also a big watch nut, but I am poor again and back in school. Nixon 51-30 Chrono. It weighs about 12 pounds. Seriously. LOL! :D Wouldn't even think about playing golf in it...

No for me. I haven't worn a watch in over 10 years and I don't like wearing jewelry of any kind except my wedding ring. These days digital clocks are everywhere: computers, cellphones, skycaddies, cars etc, so I don't miss a watch.

I never wear my watch on the course, I read its not good for high end watches. Deemo that's a very nice Breitling...in the all white, def classsy!. My chrono cockpit is great for me, as I dont want it to cause attention. take care

No watch, no wedding ring. I put em in a fleece pouch and put that into the fleece-lined pocket in my bag. I forgot to take off the wedding ring once and lost it when I pulled my glove off. That pretty much made the wife understand why I didn't want to play with it in the first place.

Try this. Energy care bracelets. A lot of NFL and NBA players are starting tonwear them and PGA starting to as well. I just read about them and they are supposed to be amazing.

I wear a distinctly unflashy watch generally, but I always take it off when I play. No wedding ring for me either. Aside from now being divorced, rendering the question moot, a friend lost his finger a few years ago thanks to an accident at work where he climbed over a spike-topped wrought iron fence surrounding a park and caught his ring, degloving his finger in the process. A lot of people at work stopped wearing their wedding rings after that happened, including me.
