Nah the C4 Driver and the Detour Putter were bigger flops.

I do find it interesting that the SLDR comes in three lofts. Rumor is that the Covert replacement will also be available in different lofts. The whole one driver head to fit all concept seems to have failed. I think it has to do with setting the head to the extreme high and low lofts and the face angles being so out of whack (very open or very closed).

I've been buying Ping and Callaway for a while...and I don't regret that decision. I cant keep up with TM's product strategy. Probably my fault...and maybe to my own detriment...but the last TM club I bought was the first Superfast....shaft was too long for me - and I gave up on TM's stuff. Maybe someday I will reconsider - but not for a $900 driver. :-)

Most of us have been guilty of overpaying for drivers. It is amazing that TM got alot of suckers to pay $900 though. I've seen high $300's to low $400's lately and dropping more precipitously as this is being written. I'm fine with TM's product strategy. This club will eventually be in my bag for about $250-$300.
