Kansas City Area Golfers

I play deer creek quite a bit. Lionsgate have only played once for a work tourney, it's a private club so not easy to get on.

One of my favorite courses is Heritage Park. I play there a bit too.

It really doesn't matter though, KC has a ton of good courses. One of the reasons I hesitate to join a CC.

Yeah heritage is cool! I like shoal creek a lot, yeah I was a member at a decent course for 1 year,but it just wasn't worth it bc I always wanted to play other courses!! Like you said there are so many good ones around here,yeah I know lions gate is private,but it's a great course!!! Watched a senior pga even there a few years back

How is the course? Coming down with a group of friends at the end of March. We are playing Shoal Creek and Tiffany Greens.

Shoals in good shape. They are adding a tee box to #16, and possibly some other additions. I've been on the road quite a bit so I haven't been out for a few weeks. Let me know when you'll be around

Any recommendations for courses you guys would prefer to do an event? I'll just throw out a few off the top of my head:[list]
[*]Sycamore Ridge (Olathe, KS). Links-style front, tree-lined target-golf back.
[*]Stone Canyon (Blue Springs, MO). Wide-open off of the tee, links-style.
[*]Falcon Lakes (Basehor, KS). Good track for all types of players.
[*]Swope Memorial (Kansas City, MO). Classic Tillinghast design. Not greatest, but a must-play due to history.

I was thinking more along the lines of a Kansas City WRX Outing, as many people we can get as possible. But I can understand if you want to be in my group ...

Always been a dream of mine. A KC WRX outing would be great. Greater numbers means a better chance I won't be the worst golfer there.

No slight to you, but this is why I think Falcon Lakes might be a good choice. It is a good course for all skill levels. It is around $40-50 depending on time of day. They also have a great bar/patio area for guys to congregate.

I'm in Overland Park and would love to join. I'm a 20 HC so don't expect much.

Sycamore is a great course.
I like iron horse and deer creek. Both would be fun.

Have not played falcon lakes so that would be cool.

Another fun one is Dubbs dread.

Regardless, whether it's decided I'd like to try and join.
