I'm also very interested in the answer to this question. I remember an interview he did when he first switched and attributed it to his increased clubhead speed. Maybe one can assume he's dialing back on his quest for distance and aiming for finesse?

The V5 is the glued Tiger head. This is either a V3 or V4, both with the smaller head, no weight screw and virtually indistinguishable from each other.

I think he used to wear that but now its something different. Cant tell what it is.

Also if anyone knows, does he use the covert performance or tour 3 and 5 wood. I know Tiger uses the tour just painted to look like the performance and with the glued hosel. Does anyone have any idea if he does the "Tiger head" or something different.

Tiger uses the performance model. As do most tour players.

...from the review... "Most PGA Tour players have gravitated toward the standard model, which is higher spinning, more forgiving and has a softer, quieter sound."

I think Rory has recently gone to the Performance model as well.
