Is there a Motore Speeder 8.3 Tour Spec?

Love the 6.3TS. Really liked the 6.2TS before that, but the Matrix 7M3 had better feel. Now the 6.3 performs almost exactly like the 6.2 did, but has some feel back in the swing and impact. I am hanging on to the 7M3, but have a need for a 3W shaft, and think an 8.3TS would be a perfect fit.

I would think the TS 8.3 would be an awesome fairway shaft. I love the TS 6.2 in my R1. Liked the non TS 8.1 in my RBZ Tour 3 wood before I sold it. Like to try the .3 series...

I haven't seen one, I would think it would be a hit though. I love the 6.3 in my driver and I'd think the 8.3 would be a good option for those hitting the .2 series in their drivers. A litle more feel in the 3W with the 8.3 as opposed to the 8.2 which is probably pure beast mode.

The 6.3 is a pretty new release though, maybe they'll release an 8.3.

As of right now there isn't a TS 8.3, but if you're looking for that same low launch/spin combo with a smoother feel, I'd check out the non-TS 8.2. Just a side note though, the 85 gram and heavier Motore Speeders are considered tour only shafts, so you won't find their specs being posted on the website. You can probably still purchase one from a charter dealer though.

Yea you can only get 80 gram and up from the tour department. Not hard for me to do. Found out last night from my rep they have a 7.2 ts tour x flex. Raw cpm on it is 298.

I have the 8.2 TS in my fairway and 7.3 TS in my driver. I could have sworn my club guy said he could get the 8.3 TS but recommended the 8.2 more, I'm not a 100% on that though.

Well I should be more specific. As of two weeks ago when I went over the new product lines with Fujikura there was only the 6.3 and 7.3, so things may have changed. I haven't asked about an 8.3 since then so my info could be outdated.

That 7.2 TS Tour X sounds like a real beast of a shaft, so as a comparison do you know what the raw cpm is for the 6.2, 7.2, 8.2 and 9.2 TS X shafts?

My local shop is a Fuji Master dealer, I think. He was able to get it within 5 days of my request. I am currently testing it out untipped, and I think it feels like a perfect match for the 6.3 in my driver. I may have him tip it 1/2" though after some more play. I like the 3W to play a little tighter feeling.

Alright, I have played it enough to comment. I like to play my 3W around 42.5", it leads me to much more solid contact. When I had the 8.3 installed I had them leave it at 43", in case I wanted it tipped. Turns out, tipping it 1/2" for my setup is exactly what I should have done from the outset.

I'm playing it in a Tour Edge Exotics CB4 15* head @ 42.5" and D2 swingweight achieved with a little extra lead tape on the back of the sole. The shaft performs. Launch it high and it rolls out a few yards, as expected. Launch it low and it hits the ground running. Essentially, it's point and shoot.

It feels smoother than my 80g Fubuki Alpha, but different. I think it's an awesome fairway shaft.

I'll second Shivan's comments. It's a legit shaft. I have an 8.3x in a G25 3wd that I've been working with. Shaft is solid with great feel. It does exactly what it is advertised to do. I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen more guys playing it on tour.

Only problem is that the club was supposed to come open a bit, but it still looks a bit closed. It's probably open a bit, but the toe just looks too closed for me.

I'm going to put it through the works this weekend and decide if I want to keep it. I'd love to try it in a 913fd, but Titleist said it won't be available until 7/1 and no one seems to have the OEM Titleist tips. So frustrating.

I bet the 8.3 would be amazing in a Stage 2 Tour 3 wood.

I liked the .2's a lot. The added feel of the .3 is like having the performance of a .2, but smoother. How could that be bad.

Also, tipping did not seem to be as adverse to feel as it was when I tried a tipped 7.2x in a driver. Which was awesome.

I really like the 7.2 TS, it's definitely staying in the driver. I you want a little more feel than the .3 is definitely the way go. I don't particularly find the .2 to lack feel though

Someone posted a screencap of Fujikura's specs on the x.3's, but I'll be darned if I can find it now.

 

 

8.3 and 9.3 is missing, sorry. Also, even though this says "M", it has to be when compared to their other Tour Specs that are high bend point, ultra low launch, and ultra low spin. The "Mid" here is not that mid, I assure you.

Is it a wood shaft or a hybrid shaft?

The non-TM 9.3 I saw here, and available for order at my dealer is a wood shaft. No idea what the TM version is....might be their 9.8 Tour Spec
