Her attitude CAN be...poor... LOL :) You're entitled to your opinion too friend. And for the record, I prefer crunchy peanut butter, just in case anyone was curious! :cheesy:

Hmmm...the plan is to play 36 on Sunday...don't remember the LPGA doing that often. Guessing it's because it's a "major." Does that make anyone think about changing their pics? Does a younger player have an advantage here now?

I think a vet has the advantage here. It's going to be more mental than physical.

You & I rarely disagree.

IMO.....Kerr doesn't belong on Team Pouty.
Kerr has her own.....Team B______.......you can guess......lol.

I'm just going down the path of the fact that many parts of the country are seriously weather impacted this year and the fact that anyone who travels for their career faces weather related delays. Combo of both.
And youth does necessarily mean physically superior.
I don't believe young pros like Salas or Feng are in better physical shape vs, say Webbie.

Putt...it's all semantics...see definitions below.

bi*** (b***)

1. To complain; grumble.

pout (pout)

1. To exhibit displeasure or disappointment; sulk.

Seeing that they're basically the same thing, we'll be officially changing the name to Team Pouty B (has a nice ring to it don't you think). However, Jodi Ewart-Shadoff will still be known as Jodi Hyphen.

New T-Shirts are available and now if you order a 2XL or larger, you'll get more Pouty and more B******.

I couldn't agree more. It's bad when this is your home airport...any time of year it trouble getting out of here...or coming home.

I hope Jodi Hyphen makes the Euro team.

If I only look at Rolex rankings (for simplicity) the team would be currently
Tutta
Catriona
Aza
Icher
Anna
Bea
Carlota
Hedwall
Gal
Sergas
Masson
Jodi

The US will definitely have a length advantage.
The more Mallon talks the more she saying...... I'm picking Pressel.....unless Morgan does a complete collapse from June-Aug.

No, they're not in better shape, just probably stronger because of their, uh, physical shape. :D

But I still think a vet with some mental toughness will prevail. As much as I hate to say it, I'm leaning towards Dave's favorite member of Team Pouty B...

Selfishly I hope it finishes Monday. With a 36 hole finish on Sunday, less of the event is televised. It's that simple. Essentially the viewers miss one full round, other than scattered highlights. The LPGA would be playing the third round opposite of the European Tour event on Golf Channel. If they play one round per day through Sunday, the Monday final round would be unopposed, other than taking away from the early stages of Live from the US Open. I assume Golf Channel would allow priority to a live major, not chatter three days ahead of tee off.

Had the same thought Awsi plus the LPGA is off next week before heading to NW Ark. Monday finishes make the LPGA THE must watch on TGC. The only thing I could come with as to why would be if a significant number of players have sponsor commitments on Monday.

One would hope so.....but one never knows what the Tiger Channel will do...I would not be surprised they show the endless drivel on LFTUO vs LPGA Monday coverage..
The forecast for Fri & Mon don't look favorable....the worst scenario is a decision to a 54 hole event....yikes.

Oh yeah, I think Morgan is a lock, barring a meltdown as you stated. Don't necessarily agree with it, but it is what it is.

With the rain and longer days possibly, looking at someone with decent length to contend...

Going out on a bit of a limb with my 1 pick , but the others are old reliables...

Carlotta Ciganda
Kerr
Lewis (sufficiently motivated to bury all memories of that 80 Sat at Shoprite)

Dark Horse - Gerina. I would pick Korda but if they do 36 not sure the wrist will hold up.

I hope they get started tomorrow but don't finish the round. As long as partial rounds carry over to the following morning, a 36 hole finale on Sunday won't be feasible.

A 9 hole carryover to Monday morning wouldn't be the worst scenario.

If they quit at 54 holes, Whan should be flogged with the wicker baskets from Merion.

Agreed, a nice noon-ish start would work nicely, allowing some golf to be shown on Friday's TV slot, and all but guarantee rolling over into Monday :good::)

I can't imagine they stop at 54..even rolling to Tuesday to get 72 is feasible - no event next week, etc.

She threw in 2 birdies to get back to even...and then threw in another double to go back to +2.

I wanted Monday. Apparently Monday's forecast is terrible so we'll have to settle for a 72 hole event with only 54 televised.

Lexi hit only half the greens but 24 putts equated to 71.

Nice par putt salvage on the her first hole by Michelle, after a comical Franz Klammer first putt, screeching downhill and onto the fringe, at least 18 feet past.

Wow, that tee shot that Wie just hit on 11 was shockingly bad. :scare2:

My instructor does golf clinics for deaf children at PGA and LPGA events, and he was up there earier this week. He said Wie on the range was the most difficult thing to watch that he's ever seen at a professional tournament. The number of rotten shots she hit was unreal, and that's obviously carried over to the tournament. Putted it off the green but saved a miracle par at 10, and then off the planet from 11 tee.

That has to be the first Franz Klammer reference in the history of GolfWRX. 1976 Olympics if memory serves...
