Congrats on the win and the trophy!!! You really are an inspiration even if you don't know it. I don't know what you are going through but I don't think you should be embarrassed about anything, instead you should be proud of your accomplishments because they are great! Keep it up and I wish you the best in your journey.

Sammy,
Your bag, shafts, grips and clubs blow me away! Awesome!! Thanks for sharing your inspirational story. We need more heroes like you.

I believe there are two types of golfers, generally : social golfers and serious golfers. It's hard to be both at the same time, because golf requires concentration. Find 1 or 2 golfers you enjoy playing with, and you will develop your social side of golf. Best of Luck!

I totally agree. I tend to be the serious type (somewhat social when playing) and feel very distracted when playing with the overly social types.

I haves sort of. It is hards understanding those who just says crap ands not mean it. A female recently i learned was like that. I am no hero really , but it is nice for all the kind words. The caddy in the picture is one ands i know a few at a public course that are kind. Socially it will always be a struggle for me.

I am golf , ands the lady i met basically misled me to where she mades me feel bad for havings a meltdown ands for golfing almost all days.

We all have meltdowns: that's golf. The difference is how we each handle it. In 100 million years, this planet will be one big ball of ice, so who cares if I just triple bogied? Try to not let her bother you; just concentrate on your next shot. Jack Nicklaus would note how other players talked. If they complained too much, he'd say to himself, "There's another one too stressed out to play good golf.". And he'd find out, not too many golfers really had their heads in the game. The ones that did, were the real competition.

Yes , but my meltdowns are hysterical cryings , panic attacks , throwings up , dizzy , light headed , etc. I hads one today in tournament. I was two under afters four holes ands i felt world crashing in ons me. I coulds not breathe , barely coulds stand , was throwing up , crying for the next six holes uncontrollably. I hads to withdraw , but i gaves it my best through eleven holes. I was hitting good golf shots still through it all , so some positive. My caddy was nots sure how i was swinging a club. I withdrew afters i was starting to crawl from exhaustions.

You guys do nots really understands how bad it is for me on days when i cannots fight these things off. It costs me matches ands tournaments , but i keep trying to get better with them. That is why i says golf is nots my problem.

Good job sticking it out for 11 holes. Your meltdowns sound rough. Have you thought about listening to an iPod or MP3 player of your favorite music while you play? Just shut everyone else out except your caddy. I do that sometimes when I play alone, what's the harm?

Recommend you read "Play Your Best Golf Now" by Pia Nilsson & Lynn Marriott. They have great advice on the mental side of golf and how to enjoy yourself on the course. They've advised a lot of pros, including Ai Miyazato, who had a lot of trouble with doubt and confusion. They taught her emotional tempo. She had been too concerned with how others were doing on the course. See Chapter 5 for her story. Good luck.

The issue with those is that none of thems mentions autism ands mental disorders. My therapist has tolds me that i needs to keep getting in those situations to improve them. I cannots run from the triggers on a golf course.

Pretty sure that ipods or music is banned from tournaments. I haves ear plugs. It is just that i cannots really explain to everybody how it is for me.

Very nice setup.

On a personal note, I have been dealing with terrible anxiety and panic attacks myself for the past 3 years. Things changed in my life and these symptoms developed after many years of intense stress. You dont understand it till it happens. I'm right there with you in some ways. For me, playing golf definitely helps me de stress and get my mind off things.

Keep on keeping on! Congrats on the wins!
