I tried some other shafts but was not getting the proper feel or numbers on them. Besides the Kaili the Fujikura Fuel was giving me some great numbers. I just talked to my rep and he said that the R1 tip will not fit in the SLDR.

Can anyone else confirm that?

He's wrong, I was hitting an R1 shaft in the SLDR and my SLDR my fitter specifically requested that my shaft be fitted with the R1 sleeve.

Thanks to all who posted their impressions of this driver, I like the appearance and look forward to trying one when they become available. I have tried several TM drivers over the past few years and have not really found one that feels right since the 510TP.

I didn't get that impression. They kept comparing this driver to the R1 & R11. Given the color and shape, I also perceived this product to be marketed as a "Players" driver.

I think the rep simply misunderstood. The R1 tip works fine, but he markings do not make sense. R1 has no loft, so the tip says 9.5*, 10.5* etc. The SLDR has a stated loft, so the tip will be marked std loft, higher, lower, etc.

My fitter had only R1/RBZ shafts ready to go, so when he handed me a club, he said don't look at the setting on the collar.

My Ping is 9.5. SLDR was 9.5 as well same shaft same length same loft.

ive read most of the reviews and love them.

but one question, did most of you guys play the same loft after fitting or go up or down? i need to know what loft to order! i play 8.75 with a kiyoshi white in my R1 now
