Demoed at TM Performance Center last week in Palm Desert. tP 3 HL was a monster and easy to hit off the deck. Loved the TP 4 hybrid to. Non TP shafts did not work but with upgraded TP shafts watch out!

Looking like I will probably get the 3 wood at least to replace my burner. Can anyone tell me the difference between the standard and TP version? Is one easier to hit than the other? Swing speed a factor?

TP has a shaft upgrade. Same head.

Much better shaft for me. I demoed both at the TMerformance lab in Palm Desert. Big difference for me. My 3 HL should come in tomorrow

I played a round up here yesterday in Minneapolis with a fellow WRXer and for giggles I only hit my SLDR 3 wood off the tee. Course plays 6600 yards and I shot a 75. Hit 2 drives over 300 with the SLDR 15*. The club is nuts. Long and holds the line so well. Launches well off the tee and flew forever. Easy to hit off the deck but I suspect the 17* would be even better off the deck. I'm going to a LM next week to get some numbers of spin and distance with the 15* vs the 17* SLDR. But I will tell you this. My Anser FW woods have been relegated to the back up bag.

I just got fit for a SLDR 3 wood today. Was gaming an original Rocketballz 3 wood for the last two year. We tried it with a Devotion 7 X-Flex and an Accra Tour-Z. Both shafts performed very well, but I was able to sneak out about 3-4 yards more on average with the Devotion 7 over the Accra Tour-Z.

Biggest difference that I noticed was a huge increase in stability through impact and a much tighter dispersion. Ball flight was noticeably lower than with the RBZ 3-wood (has something to do with the 1500 RPM decrease in switching from the RBZ to the SLDR / Devotion combo. The club will be a beast. It also brought down the decent angle of the ball flight, helping me pick up some extra yardage on roll-out.

In the end, I picked up 15 yards in the switch, but more importantly, I picked up an incredibly stable and reliable club that will great off the tee on shorter par-4's and a canon off the deck trying to get on a par-5 in two.

I hit the SLDR 3 wood and Hybrid today... I was not impressed. Love the looks, love the height of the face but everything else was no bueno for me with the stock X-flex. No significant gains and definitely not enough for me to switch from what I currently use. On average I actually hit the SLDR 17° 2 Hybrid further than the 3 wood by 5 yards.

I wish they had more of a "tink" sound to them and more spin, they launch well and feel good but the spin numbers do not mesh well with my game, I prefer a 3 wood that spins about 4000rpm and a Hybrid that spins over 4500rpm. SLDR 3 wood was 3500rpm and Hybrid was actually LOWER at 3200rpm, averaged over 15 shots each with stock X flex in both. There is a chance that switching the shafts out to steel(what I currently use) would change that...but it's not easy to demo that and I am happy with what I currently game.

Would also like to hear some input on this. I'm currently gaming the 913FD and absolutely love the performance, but would like to look down at a much smaller head. Being left handed, I haven't been able to try the SLDR yet.

I hit the SLDR 3HL in X stiff today at DSG side by side with my 910F and have to say i was blown away. it was a solid 8 yards on average longer (total) than my 910, had average 3 mph better ball speed...but the biggest difference was feel. on a pured stroke in the middle of the clubface it was amazing. a nice muted click with a sponge-y type feel. i have to say this will be getting in the bag as soon as possible. if anyone wants numbers i'd be glad to share them. this 3w is stupid long.

It's long and the spin numbers almost seem crazy. I will say this, it's not as easy off the deck as my Anser. It might be a great driver replacement... but I don't know if it's a gamer for me yet. Having a shot off the deck with a gun to my head, I lean Anser as of now.
I think if i didn't buy the 17* it would be tough but i'll be honest...i hit my 3H about 240. i think the 17 would be just enough for off the fairway and certainly off the tee. if i could hit 280 yard drives with the SLDR...i won't have to pull driver but 3-4 times a round at most courses i play.

this club would be ideal for high-spin players who have ballooning issues...i need one. asap.

It's been to cold up here in MN to hit it outside right now. I'm going to go to 2nd swing this weekend to hit some off the mat to see if feels any better.
FWIW, i hit the 15 and saw a ton of rollout on the sim and was hard to get ENOUGH spin. i would think that out of rough or off the deck the 15 would be tough unless you really hit down on it.

Went to my local brick and mortar this morning to mess around (it's 9* up in the twin cities this morning.... not awesome.) I think what works best for me is the 17* head set to 16*. The spin was nuts 2950 RPMs with a launch of 12.2 compared to my Anser which had spin avg of 3975 (seriously) and a launch around 8.6. So not only was my Anser not launching as high but it was spinning more as well. For ME the SLDR 17* HL wins. ***This was with my Oban Purple I have. Not a stock shaft or the TP upgrade.

I wish I could get my SLDR driver to spin 2950 RPMs. I'm 31xx RPMs with a DI 6 and Kai'Li 60 but I have an 'ahina 60 and a Kiyoshi Black 65 ready to take to the simulator. The SLDR 3 wood will have to be really special to replace my RBZ Stage 2 Tour Kai'Li combo.

I replaced almost an identical combo with the HL SLDR and the Stage 2 wont be seeing the light of day again. I love the Stage 2 tour and hit it great as a tee club, but the 17 degree is so much easier to hit off the deck and brought my spin down to just north of 3000 with both my gamer Kusala Blue and the Kai'li. The two shafts were within 50rpm of each other on average. Staring down at the Stage 2 looks so awkward now even though its not a huge clubhead. The SLDR is really compact and clean looking. I got mine just in time to hang up the sticks for the year. Road trip anyone?

I haven't seen the SLDR 3 wood in person but from the pics it looks like it has six scoring lines opposed to five scoring lines on my RBZ Stage 2 Tour. Is it safe to say the SLDR has a deeper face than the RBZ?

No. It's much shallower than the stage 2.

Ugh…I absolutely, positively deplore a shallow faced fairway wood. Thanks for the reply my friend!

I bet the jetspeed line might be up your alley then.
