dream clubs? what have you always wanted?

I always drooled over the Anser when I would go to Watts. So If I had some extra money laying arund and it was no issue, I'd probably want the Anser version still in the collector's box. [/color]

When I was introduced to the game all I wanted was set of 1996 Callaway Big Bertha irons, but could in no way afford them and eBay was only in its infancy so use lefty clubs were hard to come by. Fast forward 15 years and I picked up a set of refinished ones from Callaway preowned to my specs. They're wall hangers, but I finally got them.

There's nothing I lie awake dreaming of now...I guess some seriously custom fit Miuras would be nice and a driver that's absolutely spec'ed out, but I'm mostly content with the off-the-rack stuff I have.

On the other hand, when I was a kid back in the late sixties/early seventies, I remember browsing the sporting goods department at my local K-Mart, drooling over an oversized mallet putter that had to be the coolest thing ever. I never got that putter, which in retrospect (and in the spirit of the season) had to be my own personal version of the Weenie Whistle...or Mystery Date for the ladies among us.

I had them refinished/adjusted to my specs for length and swingweight and now I don't really desire any more clubs.

I wanted a set of Ping Eye2 irons since I first saw them in the mid-eighties. I've owned at least three sets in the last 20 years and couldn't hit any of them! I also had it bad for a Scotty Cameron...finally picked up a Newport 2, I putted terribly with it. Like someone else mentioned, I don't have any dream clubs, just a dream handicap.

Edel irons, love the look of them and I love my putter and wedges but I can't justify the price. Other than that id like to be fit for driver, fws, and hybrid.
