2015 Hero World Challenge Photos: Discussion Thread

GolfWRX is live this week from the Hero World Challenge hosted by Tiger Woods at Albany, a golf resort on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas. The event has changed hands many times, between title sponsors and host courses since its inception in 1999, but this will be its first rendition in the beautiful Bahamas.

Although the host himself is not physically able to participate, the field is quite strong in his absence. The event features only 18 players, all of whom are ranked inside the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Highlighting the field list is Jordan Spieth, defending champion and world No. 1 ranked golfer, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, Zach Johnson and Brooks Koepka among others.

In a precursor to his historical year of

2015, Spieth blew the field away in last year's Hero World Challenge at Isleworth Country Club, where he won by 10 strokes over Henrik Stenson. But it's a new year, a new location and a different golf course.

I wonder if we will see Bubba's putter comes to retail.

I'm into that King utility...and Bubba's putter.

It looks like Billy Ho has bulked up a bit.

I see that Bubba is wear Footjoys instead of Oakley shoes now.

I was already drooling over the Cobra driving iron when I noticed the Srixon DI! YUM!!!!!!!

Thanks, I'm happy you feel sorry for me! Since I'm not a beach/island person, it really is just another golf tournament to cover for me. Typical of a tourist type place, over priced, hard to get around and the food's not that great!

Zach had the PXG wedge in his bag at RSM at Sea Island two weeks ago as well.

I wonder if we will get the line backer comments like Tiger just because a golfer has a slight amount of muscle tone.

What's the deal with the different Titleist bags? Adam Scott seems to be using the familiar one but Jimmy Walker's has a different section on the cuff of the bag. Any idea what that's for? Looks a little unusual.

Hilton Head, Quail Hollow, Waste Management & Nelson depending on the weather the sun dresses come out in full force and the girls are "pro shopping"!

Yeah, i see it now. was looKing on my iphone last night and thought they were DNA's for some reason.

Nice pictures, Greg. A few random observations that struck me. [list]
[*]I really liked those face on shots of Reed, Matsuyama, Rose, etc. Not that FO shots are new, it's just nice seeing them up close and personal like that.
[*]Paul Casey is using a Method 00 head of some sort now, no longer the blue 009 shaped one that drew all the attention.
[*]Justin Rose is back to the MBs, not the PSI Forged.
[*]Fowler with the "old" red HM2 hybrid shaft in his utility.
[*]Course looks great, must be pretty windy out there, right?

Rickie's had that Matrix shaft in his utility iron for well over a year. The wind hasn't been that bad but the weather is moving in.

Thanks. I know he was using it back when he had Adams hybrids. Thought he switched when he went to the utility irons. I remember owning that shaft, smooth as silk, yet stable as rebar, if that was even possible. That entire M2 line was great.
