Is there a golf app for finding a playing partner?

I don’t like playing golf solo. Is there an app for finding a playing partner? Thanks.

This is an interesting concept. I would also like to know if this is available. Would be a cool way to meet people and get some golf in while your at it. Only downside is if you get stuck with someone who annoys you for 3 and a half hours.

3.5hours? We Always get stuck with 5 hours round here in the Bay Area. Living in china now and folks here play by a different set of golf rules and pace of play is much quicker. Back on topic, it’s a neat idea and I’m surprised no one has come up an app for it? We have this app here which you can book tee times, read course reviews and a social function to let good diggers to find golf partners (sugar daddys)

I tried one of the apps, can't recall the name but it was nothing but crickets (silence). Maybe try the Groups, Tourneys, and Partners Matching forum here.

Golfnow or teeoff. Just book a time that has less than 4 players available.

Join a local group of your choice. A much better way to play golf if you want to play with someone you'll eventually get to know better.

Personally, I enjoy the freedom and excitement to be paired up with strangers when walked on as a single.

Golfmatch is an app, but it's crap. In my area there isn't much action. It's basically the same 30 people posting about the ridiculously priced golf events the App runs.

It might not be the answer you were looking for, but join a golf club. I did, and I've met a ton of new people to play golf with.

I think I remember some company trying the golf pairing app/website idea a few years ago, and it died a quick death. Wish I could remember what it was called.

You guys beat me to it, I was going to be a smart arse and say Tinder....but in all reality find a course that is pretty busy and have the starter pair you up. Make some friends who like golf, get guys phone numbers if you are paired with them, or message guys on this site who live in your area.

You dont work with or live in a neighborhood with anyone who plays? Church? gym? Lion's club?, school, the local bar? I mean it's all about networking and meeting people with common interests. Join a private club, get to know people who like golf, sometimes you just gotta say "lets play golf sometime, how about Sunday?"

Golf is so great because you meet so many people.

Though I am not in that area of complainers , I have met and played with people all over the country on my trips using golfmatch. While I think the app is slowly dying , I have had no issue finding a group to meetup with and play as well as course suggestions . Tryin our 18Birdies right now but the social part is lacking right now but the stats and gps part are great .

They did already, it is called 'Grinder'. The OP should give it a try.

Not sure how it got its name, but I am sure it just guys who never give up on a round.

GolfMatch is a good one. I’m a part of 3 groups in it and people are setting stuff up all the time

there is, it's called Deemples Golf App. They were just made available for Melbourne golf courses, but heard they might be pausing marketing campaigns for now until after winter, since all our golf courses are closed! Check them out here https://deemples.com/download

So I make apps on the side. I could easily set something like this up based on location. Maybe have people pinpoint where they want to play and others can ping they are interested resulting in a "match" that will set up a direct message? Anyone have ideas let me know via pm! Problem with these is that there is a slow uptick until more people hear about the app

Chelsea - we've already built this and it's working well in Malaysia for the last 3-4 years. About 4500 rounds played every month on it. 

Easily adaptable for USA, however need to work on on-ground marketing and user acquisition costs/strategies, otherwise we become like GolfMatch. Too big a country to do it at, with too little budgets.
