Rory Mcilroy @ BMW - Stock Tensei 5 wood?

If somebody has already posted this forgive me....

Does this not look like a stock Tensei White? I couldn't find any other threads posting this...

The screen capture is from today's range session with J.Day on PGA tour's Youtube page.

Anybody else notice this?

it's a stock paint job on a CK Pro White 90TX Shaft. Has had that paint scheme since the M5/6 launched

@Rig14Port yeah that's what i checked for reference.

I'm indifferent at the idea that Mitsubishi Chemical would specifically make a batch of Tensei CK Pro White with the stock paintjob? Obviously cause Rory but I can't imagine them doing this. Especially when MC would want people to buy its PRO version ?

99% of golfers wouldn't know the difference between the two. So I'm guessing if that's what Rory prefers, then they'd certainly make that happen for him.

It's a stock paintjob on the Pro.

The stock, and pro are so completely different that I seriously doubt that it is the stock. plus, all these shaft companies paint every shaft by hand so it is easy to do a one off, especially when the template already exists.

Every shaft for every company is basically painted the same way. Exceptions being shafts with some kind of ghosting or platted type coat.

This is a Tensei CK Pro White with a silver tip section. This was an early cosmetic change, and there are a few still floating around in the market!

and as much as we all love MCA, Taylormade has enough marketing at stake to make sure Average Joe thinks that shaft Rory has in his 5 wood is the same one they can buy off the rack. Even if it did cost $1,000 for the one off paint job... Taylormade is more than willing to make that happen.

Same thing Nike did when they had MCA paint Rory's Kuro Kage XT to look like a S+ which was the stock shaft in the Vapor Line

Tiger had one like it last year/year before. There was a big kerfuffle on here about the changing paint jobs and how are we supposed to know which is which, yada yada yada. Anyway, as @"MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL" said it's not, it's not a custom paint job.
