Anyone still playing PXG Gen2 0811X or XF

Bought a X version GEN2 when they first came out but dumped it cause of very heavy weight issues D6. And moved to Epic Flash TD.

Looking at going back as the 3 wood is money with Tensei Pro White..

Who’s dialed there’s in or moved on from X or XF model?

I've got the XF gen 2. The stock head came in at 200 grams, with the three silver screws and two black.

I have just got my 0811x - Evenflow Blue in 75g. 6.5 - not for super fast swing speed but control - no idea of swing weight but it goes well, flys straight and has helped my game, plenty long and does not feel heavy. I’m a big fan.

I was fit at PXG for an 0811x and used it for several rounds. The amazing feel is what made me buy it.

I thought it was too low launching during the fitting, but the guy kept saying it was ok. Put on the course it was just too low launching and too low spinning. I had trouble with it. I tried and tried to make it work and just couldn’t.

I went back to a TM M6 and played yesterday with way more success off the tee. I am a big PXG fan, but the driver just wasn’t for me.

Still like mine. Have a evo ii 661 in it, and the feel is awesome.

Have the driver, 3 wood and hybrid. The driver is the only 1 I can see being replaced, very erratic combination my swing but compared to the Rogue I am missing more fairways now.

The 3 wood is my goto club now

Was fit into the even flow white for both driver and 3w a couple months ago. Both are totally dialed in for my swing and still in the honeymoon. Can't imagine changing.

My father-in-law gave me his XF after he struggled with it. Said it was just to heavy feeling for him and went back to his epic. I replaced the shaft with my AD TP6s and was hitting it ok but decided to give an X flex a try. Picked up an AD VR6x and it's been money! Definitely played a factor in me shooting my lowest round on Labor Day. For all I know it may have been switching to an X flex shaft, but this combo has been great!

Interestingly enough (or not at all), I just got an XF. I am oddly bad at purchasing, but love the process. I went to 3 fittings and multiple demo days. I’m such a dork I even kept notes and tried

My best to combine them. After all that I ended up with the XF.

It was never the longest (Callaway was), but in every instance it was the straightest and most consistent. I’ve never made such a “smart” choice with a driver, always figured that I’d find a way to control one of the long ones. In fairness, my combined average of the XF to the longest was only 8.2 yards less. If I find a few more fairways, I can deal with that. Plus, it is still longer than my 400 LST.

I credit most of that to opening myself up to ANY shaft. The results varied head to head, but in the XF, a Tensei Pro CK Pro Blue was a magical combination. So straight, so consistent. I’ll report an update (somewhere), at some point.

Still playing XF Gen 2 and love it. Once I got accustomed to more muted solid sound I can’t hit anything else.

OP: did you order your driver from PXG factory? Everything I received has spot on swing weight. It’s the only OEM that builds to such tight tolerances.

Do the pxg drivers length factor in the grip? When they say 45 inches is stock, is that with the grip on?
