Garage bag storage.

I am looking for ways to store my bags and golf equipment in my garage. All I see is cheap looking metal racks online. Anyone have a set up or any ideas to organize the garage with my golf equipment so my wife will get off my back. Ha

there were some snap together plastic cabinets at HD a few years back with double doors and inner shelves.

if you leave the middle shelves out - they will hold a couple bags and the doors had pegboard type liners that hold hooks for accessories.

use upper shelves for shoes and other gear.

I think they were made by the same company that produces the five tier shelving units that they sell a bunch of.

you could also grab one of the metal two bag brackets that mount to a stud.

This one is NOT mine but I have the same thing. I’ve had it so long it actually came from golfsmith. I’d imagine you could still scoop one of these up somewhere but I may be wrong.

I seen that but think it’s to small. Would like something that would hold 2 bags but not for storage. Balls gloves. Shoes. Hats.

All depends if your garage is heated or not? if heated building a custom rack to hang clubs is the way to go

Had a friend make me something similar a few years back, but my shelves are designed to take a euro crate, four of them in total. Keeps all the golf bits together and keeps the garage so much tidier, worth the investment.

Take a look at the photos in post 12 in this thread.This was made from components found at Ikea. I ended up replicating this in my basement. Using components like this could allow you to slowly build up to something like the setup in your picture.

I built this it works good, but I keep the clubs in the basement for winter to prevent rusting.

I have a similar problem, and not a ton of space to work with either. I bought one of those wire racks, but it soon just became overflowing with shoes and accessories. Check out Ikea PAX Planner. It only works for desktop, but allows you to customize organizer pieces, and then gives you a parts list.

Earlier I posted a link to an old thread where @Jpapa posted photos of the Ikea PAX setup that he put together. Here are later photos of subsequent add ons to his setup. I copied the setup in the first photo below in my basement. The second photo shows a perfect example of how this system can be used to start small and grow as your needs grow. In another post, @Jpapa indicated that the additional shelving in photo two came from Ikea's Bookshelf line (Billy) rather than the wardrobe line (PAX) used for the original cabinets.

Which sizes did you use if you dont mind me asking, going to go pick some of those up and see how they work out

I got lucky and my shopping list to build @Jpapa's design was still tied to my account on Ikea's website. I pasted it below. I don't know if those are the current prices or if they got frozen when I used one of their tools to build the list. Nor am I 100% certain that all of these components are still available. I put this list together and bought the components in the fall of 2017. I realize that the picture below looks like a component may be cut off. That's not the case. When doing the scrolling Firefox screenshot, a portion of the shoe shelf got copied twice and the right and left side of the page got out of sync. There is a total of 7 unique components, three of them having a quantity greater than 1.

I have actually changed it up and got it more to a finished stage (will never be finished lol, need to stop buying clubs) ill get some more snaps and post them up.

I don't think that the part list is there anymore. I tried to find it in that thread, so I could provide a link to it, before I found the list that I put together at Ikea's website when I copied your design. Despite not having room to expand, I'd love to see pictures of your current version.

That list is missing one component It is list for his first iteration of the cabinet. The second iteration (the first photo in my post above) includes the "pull-out tray with divider". I know that the parts list for that version used to exist somewhere on this site because I that's what I used to build mine. I don't know if the parts list for the 3rd version (the second photo in my post above) was ever posted here or not.

Here is another option:

Configure it with the bottom shelf as low as possible; and the next shelf up high enough for golf bags with clubs.

These shelving units are easy to put together (and take apart when you move).
